So at level 9, if i give up movement, have gravity bow up, have Heroism up, within 30 feet of enemy, and have cast flame arrow on my arrows:

I'll be shooting 3 arrows (rapid shot shooting twice with the first arrow / attack roll being manyshot unleashing 2 arrows with one attack roll) with an attack roll of 1d20+16 (+6 BAB, +4 dex mod, +1 PB shot within 30ft, +1 true shot gloves, -2 rapid shot, +2 heroism, +4 Bulls eye shot)

Damage would be (2d6+1+1d6) x 3 if all 3 hit for a damage range of 12-54.

Well, playing along with my character's history, the wizard that came in and destroyed his hometown and killed his family was human so...

And at level 9, casting a fireball the DC mobs would have to beat with a reflex saving throw would be 18 (10+ 3rd level spell + 4 int mod, +1 spell focus evoc), and the damage roll would be 7d6 (5th level + spell specialization fireball + 2 levels so 7d6).

The reason for me posting these would be if I by chance have misinterpretted something. If so, please advise!

These are my projections assuming I have to wait until 10th Level to be able to take a level in Arcane Trickster

The additional level in Rogue over Wizard is there because I miss out on +1 BaB and a ton of Skill Points without it, plus Uncanny Dodge and an extra Feat via Combat trick is too nice to pass up.

Going Arcane Trickster at 7th Level means I will have 4th Level spells by 10th Level and a ton of skill points but I do miss out on those bonus feats and Uncanny Dodge from the extra level in Rogue. BaB will be about the same since AT has a Rogue's BaB progression.

Yyg said you need to get to level 10, and then the 11th level can be in a prestige class. It appears like you are planning on taking it 1 level too early.

You need to meet the prerequisites before taking the prestige class. Find a way to make your BAB +6, reach level 10 and then at "level 11" you can become a level 1 Arcane Archer.

Wouldn't that make it impossible to reach the capstone for a prestige class if you can't take it until 11th level?

I'm not sure what a capstone is, but... if you are talking about getting in 10 levels of the prestige class.

level 11 - 1 into prestige
12 -2
13 - 3
14 -4
15 -5
16 - 6
17 - 7
18 - 8
19 - 9
20 - 10

You'd have 10 levels into a prestige class if you put one level in every level from 11-20.

Also the Campaign Details front page said Prestige at 10, not Prestige after 10. Did that change?

Yeah, I'm not going to lie, I thought it was a Prestige AT 10 as well. Since it makes sense mathematically, I was cool with it going to 11, but I too thought it was prestige at 10.

I can make it work. It's a couple more levels of sucking before my Arcane Trickster levels start to make me shine but I think I'll be dropping that extra level into Wizard to help make my spellcasting more awesome. I get full Sneak Attack progression from Arcane Trickster anyway so I can take that being slowed down a level if it means more awesomeness later. If this build works I can double up as a Scout and Nuker for combat and pull off all sorts of fun stuff for out of combat..

We will both have different specialisations too. You being more Black Mage style and me being more of a utility (Blue Mage?) style.

Treat Level 10 as a prerequisite to unlocking Prestige.

Also: I already told you guys that I have enough material to get us to level 30. Levels 1-10 are Adventure Levels, 11-20 are Prestige and 21-30 are Heroic.

I'm not even letting you know what your Heroic Choices are until you get to at least level 15. Until then... enjoy the speculation.

Heroic Choices? What is this? Curve balls that will have us all second-guessing our builds? Bonus goodies heretofore unknown?
