You know you can get out of the mist, right? Just sayin'.

This Saturday is a "maybe" for me. Parents are coming to visit (I mentioned it previously) but there's a chance they'll take off to visit a friend of theirs in Miami.

This Saturday is a no go. I have a million things to do post Thanksgiving. Take the week off guys.

The trouble with getting out of the mist is that there are only about 6 squares on the party's side that are unobscured, at which point the party is backed into a corner with goblins decloaking at melee range.

You couldn't have known the bombers would explode when dying within melee distance, but that aside, I think nullifying ranged attacks has done more to reduce the party's damage output than the goblins'. The bomber was mostly so effective in the first encounter because you guys were clumped up around a choke point and nobody could get line of sight.

I don't know what kind of targeting restrictions the mist has, but I think a better way to tackle the fight would have been to cast the mist on the goblins or between you, stacked with the grease spell, and had readied attacks from high ground waiting for them as they stumbled into line of sight.

What about the room we had fought previously in? The mist isn't taking up more than 1/3 of that room. Yyg just needs to paste both maps together. Anyone that backs out of the mist automatically has the advantage because they can ready ranged attacks on the condition that they spot an enemy. Almost everyone in the party has ranged attacks. The first goblin to walk through becomes a pincushion. I think the only one that doesn't have ranged is Kalad.

The only people I thought would be hanging in the mist often are the Rogues, since they can use Stealth if they have concealment and potentially sneak up on Goblins that fail a Perception listening check after they come back out.

I am also very confused why our Paladin hasn't helped heal even one bit.

Well, at least for the duration of this last encounter he's either had three goblins in his face or been dead.

In fairness, your objective is to seal off this avenue of attack before even more goblins swarm into the tunnels. You would want to break through asap before you get overwhelmed by reinforcements. idk if that's the rationale Yyg is using for playing Kalad so aggressively, but it makes sense in character.

To be honest our main problem was the location of the mist and a bad positioning choice from Armando (as far away as possible from the squishy party members).

It was a mistake, everyone has made at least one bad choice so far in the campaign. The fight is still winnable and if need be, I can quite easily grab the Bottle of Black Tentacles from the KO'd Action Wizard and fling it into the cloud. My character does have some idea of who is where due to a series of decent perception rolls (and would be able to call out a warning and ready a "Throw I Win Button" action anyway) and with 17 INT, would easily be able to do the maths to figure out where she should be flinging it anyway.

Smart Rogues are best Rogues . It would also be perfectly in character since my character is noted as someone who likes to make things up as she goes along.

For reference guys, my new spells are:

                      Acid Arrow
                      Mirror Image

Should boost both my damage output (since Acid Arrow is classed as a Ranged Attack so I can apply sneak attack damage to it) and survivability (Mirror Image basically gives me Utsusemi Shadows) by a nice amount.

It's just called Acid Arrow in Pathfinder.

I also fixed Lili's height, the 5ft 2in thing was a typo, it was supposed to be 5ft 6in, she was always noted as being pretty short for an elf and that is the lowest part of the average height for a female elf.

Well I just leveled which means I get all my spells back, so I'll have enlarge person again once the current one fades Also, at level 6 do we get a feat? Do we also get an attribute point? A feat every 2 levels and and attribute point every 3 levels?

Also, also. I'm stoked Yyg is letting me class into Arcane Archer even though I'm not an elf and even though I use crossbow instead of bows.

Neither. You get feats on odd levels, and ability score bonuses on multiples of 4.
