Re: Metal Gear Solid V - Kojima's Tripping Balls

So this game takes place immediately after Peacewalker, then something bad happens and it puts Big Boss in coma for almost a decade... assuming the entire game isn't an elaborate dream sequence while he's in said coma seeing burning versions of The Boss, Volgin and a whale.

I guess a gap on the 70s bridging into the 80s can work since MG and MG2 were late 90s in the timeline, but does that mean Les Infants Terrible took place early in the coma? I think it would have to happen early in the coma, otherwise its chronologically impossible to place Liquid Snake at the age of being able to serve in the Gulf War.

    The Kojima mind screw continues.

The whale was the best part of the trailer, just for the "WTF?!" factor.

Actually Kojima and Konami just clarified.

Ground Zeroes is a prequel to MGSV: The Phantom Pain. This was assumed to be the case before yesterday's trailer, but when Ground Zeroes' story elements were weaved into the MGSV trailer there was some confusion.

        Both are open world games.
