    Re: Cataclysm

Been hearing that Druids are awful nowadays, Pallies are okay, Warriors are fine, and DK self-heals should be nerfed to bring them back down to being on par with Pallies now that their self-heals were nerfed.

But Blizz has been making hotfixes damn near every day since 4.0.6 so I wouldn't worry too much about it. They'll eventually stop fucking with shit and let people play the game.

In other news, I now have a total of twelve toons. 2 are alliance and made on a friend's realm where we will be playing together, basically on rotation. I made some toons on his realm, he made some on mine, and we're alternating weeks to level them. On the other days, I'm basically doing a rotation style of leveling. I wait until my toons are listed as 100% rested (as noted on altoholic, best addon ever) and then xp them until I've worked off their rested. Since it takes about 10 days to get 100% rested, this works pretty much perfectly. And since most of my toons are under level 50, I can burn through their rested in a few hours.

My DK, however ... well, I started yesterday at 100% at level 70, and leveled for about 8 hours which got me about halfway. Finished off today with her rested after another seven hours of play and got her to level 74. I'd forgotten how long it takes to work out of rested at that level.

And yeah, I'm super methodical with my toons, lol. I'm going to make a few more. I have one of each class on Horde, and made sure that I covered all of the races so I could see all of the starting areas, and I'm going to make 4 more on the Ally side to get the remaining races just so I can see their starting "stories." Did a worgen a few days ago and man, that's just dark. Lol. But I like how worgen/Gilneans are all apparently Australian.

I was a prot paladin during Wotlk (Actually was a healadin in TBC so the change was refreshing) and was the OT in a set 10 man raiding guild (the MT was a druid) While I agree that both druids and paladins were a bit too strong in the tanking department during ICC (I didn't participate in Ruby Sanctum) I thought they would just bring DKs and Warriors up to par in Cata.

I'm not terribly familiar with Pally as mine are 28 and 24, but I've heard their healing was nerfed in Prot spec. I don't know how badly yet, as I haven't run anything at 85 in a while.

They needed one. Not exactly fair that they can bubble up and two-shot everything.

I have heard that they where nerfed badly, and they can't keep threat all that well. But the good pallys are still able to hold threat well, and can still dish out the damage if they are DPs. Not sure about the healing pallys though.

Man it annoys me how an emergency maintenance or a hotfix that breaks some things gets a zillion replies about how Blizzard should refund them part of their fee.

Let's see, $15 a month, so 50 cents a day, so a few hours is about ... 12 cents? Actually less.

And the people bitching that Blizzard doesn't communicate. Just ... lol.

These people need to play FFXI first and figure out how bad communication can be, and six emergency maintenance sessions after every update. I mean playing the comparison game is bad, but they really don't know how good they have it in terms of uptime and communication.

I stumbled upon it while viewing other videos and I thought I'd check it out. It's pretty dumb, like I said, but it was just ridiculous enough to make me laugh.

I know the guys that run WeGame... sort of. I'm actually surprised to see that anybody is enjoying their content.

Patch just dropped so it's really bad on the forums these days. They did make heroics puggable again, though I haven't tested that out myself. And of course everyone is now bitching that they're too easy ... just days after people were bitching they're too hard.

Plus, all the QQ Y U NERF MAH CLASS threads. It's been funny, though I'm taking it in small doses lest I become contaminated.

Personally, I haven't noticed anything with the new patch yet. Granted, I haven't done anything on my main, but meh. Let them change it, change is good!

You forgot to add that fear made you so fearful at times you literally drop dead instantly (when placed in the wrong elevation of a terrain that was suppose to prevent that from happening in the first place)

Meh, it gives me something to read at work. A lot of BG's threads are NSFW and this forum has some very slow days.

I rarely check their forums, in fact I check their SC2 forums more often, but they're both cesspools of jerks, idiots, and spotlight-seekers.

I remember Warlocks back in their heyday. They were PvP monsters, and would have been PvE monsters if Fear didn't just attract more adds. One Fear would last for up to twenty-four hours, with the promise that damage may cancel the effect. A promise it never kept. They didn't even need pets, but awesome begets awesome and so it was. They could use the female demon to entrance one player while they sent another player fleeing in both terror and unholy flames. That wasn't even the worst of it. In my day, we were forced to flee uphill in the snow, both ways. Both ways where, you ask? Everywhere, because fear doesn't need to make sense. If you did manage to escape their fear-chain, you were accursed with spells that dealt damage over time, which could only be removed by cancelling your subscription! Nobody ever did that! We're still cursed to this day!
