  • Kirby's Epic Yarn

Holy crap, it's coming out on October 17th already? Why wasn't I told?

    Also some related creepy article,

    Let's Sell Kirby's Epic Yarn With A Cross-Dressing Comedian

Y'know, Kirby may not have a fanbase like Link or Mario, but he's still pretty damn popular. I would think I'd at least see one ad all up in my face about this game.

I didn't even really want a Kirby game until I saw this one, the concept is just too awesome.

I don't own a Wii right now but this is making me want to buy one now.

Kirby's Epic Yarn review: the aesthetic is the message

Kirby's Epic Yarn Critic Reviews for Wii at Metacritic.com

I'm going to be rather surprised if this doesn't end up being a contender for Game of the Year just about everywhere. Well, I guess that remains to be seen on Nintendo's end since there's still also Donkey Kong Country Returns and Retro Studios has yet to disappoint.

Probably not, as there as been some heavy contenders this year. Despite the reviews, Kirby still carries a stigma of being for the younger crowd. (Which in a sense is pretty much true) If it doesn't have blood and gore - "it sucks!"

But meh, maybe that's just me losing faith in the gaming community as of late.

Another related note, this baby ships tomorrow! I still haven't gotten my Wii back from my sister! Shiiiit!

Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story got a lot of nominations. Then again, Kirby also has Mario Galaxy 2 to contend with.

I'm certainly not referring to Spike TV's award show, which is as phony as they come anyway as the nominees are paid for. Talking more in terms of individual sites and publications.

At any rate, Kirby walked away with a number of E3 Game of Show awards, to the point they did make a trailer with a super-serious sounding voice counting off the accolades, followed by Kirby squealing at the end of it

Got it a couple hours ago. Its clearly geared toward being easy on kids as there's no dying (you just lose bead and gems for taking damage), but there is indeed a nice emphasis on exploration for the people that want to get everything out of a level. This game is a treat just on the visuals alone, but also quite relaxing in the fact its just focused on being fun. Seems every level is co-op capable as well

They'll just give the award to Halo: Reach and call it a day.

(Unless you mean GotY for Wii)

Kirby's Epic Yarn is already being recreated in cloth and yarn.
