The Wii is all about "casuals" and Nintendo is focusing on them this generation. They've openly said so many times.

If you want to talk about which audience is using the Wii more, talk about that. If you want to talk about which audience other publishers are dealing with, talk about that. But don't talk about what Nintendo is releasing, and then backtrack on that.
The "casual" audience is using the Wii more. Other publishers are focusing on "casuals" more. And Nintendo has made a console that is aimed at being accepted by the largest amount of people possible, aka "casuals". It's why they don't care about HD, HDDs, 3Dtv and all that right now, because they can make their console more cost effective without them and get it into more homes. Just because they're releasing a few games for long time fans doesn't change this stance. Why you take such great offense to me pointing this out I do not know, as it's not meant to be an insult. Nintendo was smart to release a cheaper, simpler console for more people to enjoy and not fight head to head, nose to nose with Sony and MS. Most people don't see the Wii as an alternative to a PS3 or Xbox (it's not), they see it as an addition, something they can pick up for a low price to play along side those two more expensive, more powerful consoles. Which has seemed like Nintendo's plan all along.

I know he would make it a little Deus Ex-ish, but I like how he employed it here. I was worried the paintbrush thing would be too Okami-ish, but its totally not and thank goodness.
I'm slightly saddened it's not as grimdarkcreepy as the original promo-art initially insinuated it would be. Mechano-scorpion Country Bears, Wooden zombie Goofy and those 7 Dwarves capture crafts were freaky as hell.

The Reach trailer was phenomenal, and it makes me sad that Bungie is done and moving to Activision. It really looks and feels like what Halo should have been all along - Spartans kicking Alien ass, not a glorified remake of Marathon.

Nintendo's press conference is almost over, I woke up too late to catch it so I'll watch the outtakes at GT later. I did see some kind of seriously retarded Kirby knitting game or something, and from what I read in the comments new Zelda is fail.

    Also, as an exercise:
    NES: 2 Zelda, 1 Metroid, 3 Mario*
    SNES: 1 Zelda, 1 Metroid, 2 Mario
    N64: 2 Zelda, 0 Metroid, 1 Mario
    GCN: 2 Zelda**, 2 Metroid, 1 Mario
    Wii: 1 Zelda, 2 Metroid, 3 Mario

*: SMB2 is of course technically Doki Doki Panic, but it evens out if you count Lost Levels. Either way works.
**: Counting TP as a GCN game, as it was designed to be one, and received upgrades for Wii, not a backport.

Also keep in mind the Wii is far from dead; Nintendo could EASILY increase that count of classic, core games before it goes out. And the Wii has access to all of the games before N64, PLUS Lost Levels which could be counted as an EXTRA Mario game brought to North America thanks to the Wii, to bring its count to 4. The only competitor to the Wii in terms of core games from Nintendo like this is the original NES. And that's including the infamous Zelda II.

The idea that Nintendo is straying from the hardcore market is absurd. They're expanding beyond it, but they're just as much putting out fine games as they ever have.

EDIT: Oh, and I forgot to mention Metroid Prime Trilogy. I'm not counting ports and rereleases as new games, but it contains huge enhancements to the original GCN titles; and provides three games at an incredible value. It's almost the Orange Box of the Wii.

E3 10: New Xbox, same old disc destroying problems- Destructoid

So MS has not only learned nothing these last few years, they now want you to jump around and force the issue.
...wow, I knew it was bad but I didn't think it was *that* bad. Hell I've seen PS1s and 2s dropped from 3-4 feet up and the games barely even skipped. I love the one guy's reaction though, you could tell he knew things were going to go bad real fast.

Words and phrases have meanings, there is little excuse for using them poorly even if its slang. Saying something without understanding the meaning of it is really just a great way to get yourself in some shit down the road.
...dude, internet memes never have any meaning. It's just stupid stuff said for the distinct purpose of being stupid. Next thing you're gonna tell me is that bachelor frog is a way of life and that the numa numa kid is a reflection of our currently overfed yet under educated society.

Do you ever happen to have your own thoughts or do you just repeat memes you hear on the internet? Because that "Old content is old" argument was really working for you, too.

Either way, those crying about there not being a Wii HD would technically be the "haters." See, "haters" are the people that disapprove of how someone else achieves success.

Additionally, "Haters gonna hate" is something usually said to disregard a personal attack, playing it off like some comment hasn't affected you. I didn't make a personal attack, but something I said clearly resonated with you or you wouldn't have responded, so clearly what I say affects you.

If you're going to spout memes, you can at least do us a favor and know what they mean. I believe they have sites for that now.
