Decent price. Still cheaper if you get the pack rather than the dildo, nuncuk and camera with the Wii Sports knock-off.

Still not an instant buy for me, though.

Anyway, Kojima mentioned something about the forest, so MGS3 would line up with that.

And I spent most of the Kid Icarus trailer thinking "Wait, weren't they just talking about the 3DS? Why are they showing a Wii game?". It looked campy-good though.

I'm incredibly pissed off at Nintendo for not having Reggie make as "It prints money?!" comment when the 3DS in the commercial started spewing out coins, though. Facepalm'd really hard at that.

Anyway, yes, 3DS is insta-buy; probably going to collect some DS games I can play on it too. My only concern is that they're putting a TON of hardware into it-- a touch screen, a 3D screen, an analog nub, a gyro, a motion sensor, a card reader for at least DS games, storage, and on and on and on. The PSP is years old and contains mostly processing technology, and is still pretty pricey. I'm downright afraid of what the 3DS is going to cost. I don't blame Nintendo one bit for chaining their models to the demonstrators. I have to say I lol'd at many many games getting cheers throughout the conference; some of which we literally haven't seen in decades, and then they just go "Oh yeah, 3DS is getting a Metal Gear" and the entire room explodes louder than anything else.

My biggest peeve would be all of the 2.5D games. Super Paper Mario was great, Wario Shake Whatever was probably not terrible, NSMB looks fine, but now you've got Metroid: Other M, Kirby Epic Yarn (which by the way, I think looks GREAT; I'm amazed more people aren't commenting on this), and DKCR. I'm not opposed to any use of 2.5D perspective, but Nintendo is really pushing it. On an individual basis, I think it works just fine for all of these games, but as a group it starts to get annoying that Nintendo isn't developing more fleshed out 3D titles. I mean for fucks sake, Nintendo practically invented good 3D gameplay. I'd like to see some more deeply fleshed out stuff. And maybe RPGs actually on my TV instead of a handheld prease? I'm starting to wonder if the console RPG is dead.

On a personal note, Other M is coming out four days before I leave for Japan. I has a sad.

They want it to appeal to Core and Casual gamers and by the applause very underwhelming. And why do they keep going on about the buttons on the damn thing? It's like they think this is a new concept.
