    Sims 3 coming to consoles! yay!!!!

    The Sims 3 Console Details - PlayStation 3 Feature at IGN

    It's about time. There's nothing like it on current gen consoles. Unless you count playstation Home, but that's like a basic version of Sims. What I wonder is, can we control one character like we can in a 3rd person adventure game? Or is it just point and click to move around someone, RTS style?

      The console versions will not be able to use the user created content for the game. Do Not Want x2.

          I fail to see why a console version was needed or what it could possibly offer.

            I don't know Bal, installing the user created mods used to require a program to install most of them properly on PC. I don't even want to think about how somebody would try to manage that on 360 lol. Also can't use relationship editors and what not, this game would have to have epic codes.

              I love The Sims but I've never loved it on a console. I have serious doubts.

                I think it will be fine if they use Keyboard + Mouse like UT3 did.

                Now that I think about it, I wonder why the new console games dont use Keyboard + Mouse. The difference between playing UT3 with Keyboard + Mouse vs controller is like the difference between night and day.

                  or investing that much money to play games smoothly on PC.
                  It's good more companies see there is more money to be made on consoles.

                      I was going to write something eloquent, but it's easier to just say that you fail to comprehend the significance of game design and platform selection.

                      If people don't like gaming on a PC then they shouldn't be let down when they miss out on PC games.

                        oh ya as if there are no PC gamers in existence that are let down when some games and series are released for consoles only. 9_9

                        I'm sure many PC gamers out there have lists of games they would buy if they were made for PC.
                        Just a small example, some PC gamers are mad and impatient for a PC version release of Super Street Fighter IV,
                        and some PC gamers are mad when certain games are released for consoles first, and they have to wait a year or perhaps
                        not get their own version.

                          Kinda requires mouse or (at least) motion controls to put it closer to a PC experience. Problem is they stupid these games up for consoles, make them mission-based and bullshit like that. Its supposed to be a free-form, open-ended kind of game.

                          There is no real goal other than for your Sims to live and prosper. Or make lesbian love triangles, dysfunctional families and spoiled rich families. Or put people in pool/rooms and then delete the ladders/doors and windows.

                          Its one of the few games I finally gave up and just started cheating and maxing out my cash. I was more interested in experimenting with the system than actually playing it.

                          I didn't appreciate aliens zapping one of my people for looking through a telescope, though. I buried him behind the mansion where he haunted his wife to madness, though.
