As far as America goes, I know a bunch of people who own a Wii, but I don't know anybody who plays one.

I only ever knew one person who watched American Idol. I only know one or two people that likes 360 more than PS3. I know plenty of graduates who enjoy shows on Nickelodeon and daytime Cartoon Network. Most of the students in my Japanese class--even the beginning semester--are very hard working and dedicated to learning the language.

None of these things are representative of the larger picture in any way. This is why science doesn't run on anecdotes.

you base your opinions off nothing, I will admit that I dont like the PS3, but I wont go around saying things like you have, with nothing to back it up at all.

I'm not saying I don't like the Wii btw, I'm saying I don't like how it's software has been managed. I want more killer games for it, but it's just not happening. Meanwhile PS3 and 360 continue to put out mind-blowing shit like Mass Effect 2 and God of War 3.

The Wii is as fun as any other toy. I haven't found toys fun since I was four.

Wow, this kind of made me a sad panda. I've been playing with toys...well...like...forever! lol I even got to play with toys at work! lol Do you have kids Dak? If you do, get down on the floor and play. If you don't, then find some nephews/neices/cousins/etc and get down on the floor and play. I even have figurines out around my house and I change what they are doing every few days. The other day I had Sephiroth attempting to behead Darth Maul in my living room. My son's buddy, whos BIG into Star Wars, came over and the next day I noticed that Darth Maul was showing Sephiroth who's bitch he was. lolololololol Go live a little!

PS3 and 360 are toys too. I will not separate them from what the Wii does, they are video game consoles. All of them.

People look at me funny because I carry around a DS and PSP, but they're mainly what I play games on. I don't give a shit what people think about me in this regard. I'm not conforming to the "grown up" social standard. I read comic books in public view too.

My first "current gen" console will be the Wii, its got all the niche and core titles I'd need this year, along with all the RPGs I could want.

You have no sense of humor though I thought we'd already established this.

Good comedy is short and to the point, the only time I am ever funny is, coincidentally, when that happens.

An amusement? A pastime? That's a very broad definition, and a very poor one at that. I almost posted the definitions from Dictionary.com and Merriam-Webster.com, because they were on money, but I don't feel like dragging this whole thing out. I believe we understand each other fairly well.
