I can only think of one game I'd actually like to play, rather than reminisce over, and that's Monster Rancher.

I was transported from a faraway land to a world where monsters rule. I played the game like an ace, now I'm in this place to save the monsters from the evil Muu.

Lyrics are most likely wrong but meh... I owned MR 2-4, and I think my favorites were 2 and 3. IMO I'd rather see a new MR created for PS3 that can give monsters from PS Discs, Blu-Rays, and DVDs. I remember one of the games gave a monster for Dreamcast games, but you got the same monster from every game (DAMN YOU GD-ROMS!).

Never played the game though. Wanted to, but never really got the chance. Had a friend that did. Said it was a great game.

LOL, I mentioned the MR theme song to a friend of mine a few months ago and he found all three seasons of the show online. I was like "There was a 3rd season!?" because after a certain point they started showing the same episodes over and over and over again.

I think the strategy at present is Sega releases all this Sonic crap that people will just buy anyway in hopes he will return to glory, but in reality they just use this to line their coffers to make some seriously good RPGs, half of which they'll probably never bring to the US.

7th Dragon, Infinite Space, Resonance of Fate and several others need to come out here, though. They did an awesome job with Phantasy Star Zero recently, though that might be because Sonic Team wasn't on the project.

New games just being new does not mean they are interesting or better. Pardon me if I'm not blown away by the shitty pinball games Sony's churned out like DSiWare clocks the last couple of weeks.

While that is true, new games that are new and great warrant more attention then old games I beat that were and are still great. I never intended for my PS3 library to get as big as it's gotten, but for the most part I've enjoyed all the new games I have so much I don't really even think about all the old great games I still have. That being said, I really should finish off Okami one of these days...it's just that Demon Souls and Uncharted 2 are much higher on my list of games to play.

That show was awesomefreakingtastic. At the time it came out both Pokemon and Digimon were also making it big, and of the three "boy with pet monsters" series, Monster Rancher was easily my favorite of the three. Despite being fairly kiddy looking, it had a surprisingly serious storyline. And most important of all, the show actually had a finite and ultimate ending. Which iirc was pretty sad. I gotta track down that series again and watch it sometime.

Also, MR2 was my favorite of the series. I had an entire collection of random game, music and computer CDs I searched through to get all the good monsters. Including keeping a detailed booklet of which CD gave which monsters and so forth (this was before I had internet access to just look it all up). I still remember my favorite monsters and how terrible it was when one of them died. Especially if they were killed in the middle of a tournament battle.

There needs to be a PS3 Monster Rancher, with online play to boot. Though I dunno how well disc swapping would work on the PS3, I would be too worried to constant insert and eject discs over and over looking for that one, specific non-suezo monster.

Yeah, but you don't have an online storefront promising PSOne "Classics." With the catalog Playstation has, there is absolutely no excuse to not get this stuff out more quickly than they do. That goes for Nintendo as well.

Seriously, it took Sony how long to get FFVII on the storefront? Years? Wii just now got SNES Super Mario Kart today. Just now. That was Day One kinda stuff. Hell after all the PSP games that came out for the first month and a half of PSPGo's life, Final Fantasy VII is back on top of the Most Downloaded list.

If Sony doesn't think there's demand for Chrono Cross, FFVIII, FFIX, Vagrant Story, Xenogears and others they are on drugs. I'm pretty sure SE likes the continued revenue from FFVII, so I don't think they're the ones at issue here. Atlus was more than happy to throw half their PSP catalog at PSN last month and I was very happy to see it.

Sonic Team needs to DIAF. SEGA does put out some pretty damn impressive RPGs from time to time though. It's a fucking miracle that we got Skies of Arcadia and Valkyria Chronicles.

I know people that still ritually go back to games like Castlevania: SOTN and Super Metroid. I'm one of them, I also like to revisit certain RPGs every now and again like Chrono Trigger or even explore older RPGs I never got around to like the Phantasy Star series or Suikoden . Action games, too. Metal Gear Solid, Legacy of Kain are ones I go back to and many more.

You're not the only one here who does this

In fact the bulk of my game library is comprised of PS1 & PS2 titles. I still have all my old SNES, Geneis & Sega CD games (and other consoles lol) but I can only hook up so many things at once to my TV. This is why I fucking love things like the virtual console on Wii and my 60 GB PS3. The less consoles I need to play my games on the better > _ <

To elaborate on what I was saying earlier, I'm not saying there aren't some quality games in the PSN store (There are about 5 such things). My problem:

At the time of this writing, there are only 73 PS1 games on the PSN, and 4 of them are Tomb Raider titles.

The GMs are actually allowed to create events in Sony MMOs from time to time, though I doubt it would happen with DC Universe. But their own stuff, when there's problems in-game GMs aren't usually the ones handing out canned answers.

And Sony Customer Support in general, before we get to MMOs, is pure shit. 9 times out of 10 they will find some what to blame or not help you and the tenth you'll get someone that's actually useful. This is only one-upped by Bethesda's customer service, in which their solutions are avoiding anything that triggers the problem rather than addressing the issue. Kinda takes the fun out of "ambitious" games such as their.

I still remember my favorite monsters and how terrible it was when one of them died. Especially if they were killed in the middle of a tournament battle.

That was the one thing that separated MR from Pokemon, monsters could die and when they died they'd die an epic death. (That and the epic AI MR had lmao, there was always a chance of being oneshotted in any tournament.) I used to raise Jokers and Dragons, both of them had low lifespans of like 3 years. I also was fond of Zans and Durahans lol. I remember many times on all the games I played when my monsterswould die immediately after a tournament that they kicked ass in. Game was depressing at times but it drove you to make monsters as good as you could before death so you could combine them again to pass on traits, skills, or stats.

It would be neat if SE had bought Tecmo.

I had always raised Galis in MR1. In MR2 and on it varied.

Currently, Tecmo is working on Monster Farm Online, which has not been translated into English yet, but looks interesting nonetheless.
