PAX 2009: LittleBigPlanet Features Official Disney Content, inFamous in May 2009

From Penny Arcade Expo 2008, GAF member thuway says that LittleBigPlanet, which releases on October 21st, will feature Disney-themed DLC. This is a first for Sony in opening up franchises to outside branding, and could be very cool for a game like this. I'd like to see other companies get in on it.

He also says that Sucker Punch's free-roaming super-power good-or-evil beat-'em-up of too-many-hyphens is currently targeted for release in May 2009.



I'm really looking forward to this game.

Sony seems rather interested in really expanding the superhero genre of gaming it seems. Both inFamous and DCU Online look pretty cool. I just hope it doesn't become the new bandwagon genre like GTA and DMC were last gen.

I totally missed inFamous.

Unfortunately I was only able to see a couple panels so I missed a lot of announcement type stuff.

Saw a lot of hands-on stuff at the booths though.

How did I not know anything about inFAMOUS ?

I heard the name mentioned but never knew anything beyond that myself.

But after seeing this...I'm glad I got my PS3. Though with all the (supposedly) upcoming bundles, and even a rumored 120 gig being a part of some, it might be best to wait at least a month longer. Though after that and it'd be pointless cause everyone with a PS3 should get LBP.

I bought a used PS3 with no HD off of eBay. Then turned around and got a 160gb SATA drive. Everything together worked out to about $225. Though if you want BC and the extra ports, you have to make sure it's not a 40gb model. Mine was a 60gb despite them listing it as a 40 so I got pretty lucky.
