    Subspace (aka Continuum) : http://www.getcontinuum.com/

2-D Space Shooter MMO.. I've been playing this one for over 10 years now and it never gets boring. Specifically I hang out in the "Trench Wars' arenas.

(I also spend some time on Pokerstars, but that's only so I can make enough money to pay for FFXI every month)

Edit: Boy, can I read or what?! No MMO's.. argh!

      Re: Addictive Online Games

Couple of things I'm playing in work breaks when my brain is soup:

Robokill - Only on the third mission but enjoying this partly because it's pretty and really good for a free game of this genre, partly because it's mindless destruction and partly because I'm actually on mission 3 and you can customize (go go spray firing gun upgrades).

The only thing to be aware of is that I am truly awful at these types of games (played kingdom hearts for 3 hours, couldn't get past the tutorial fights) so it might be much too easy for most people, not sure. Only the first 4 levels are free, explains why the game is so good.

Music Catch - gaming relaxation, and I love how completely integral to the game play the music is without it being a rhythm game. The only down side is that it's a bit strict about what it considers competing sound so you might have to close a couple of things to get it to run.
