I was fortunate enough to read the game's GDD. I was skeptical, but it looks like they're taking a more serious path with it than what I had envisioned from what I read. I'm sure there will be a certain familiarity with it for some of us, but I believe it will be a great game. They've taken a very novel approach.

Anyone ever played Wasteland? Really old game before Fallout, I wish I can find a copy of it.

I like the beginning bit... but when it zooms out to that soldier, it felt too much like FPS...

I hope the game will be able to maintain some feelings of 1&2

i don't think bethuda will screw up this franchise, they make good games.

There's obviously no way that Bethesda would keep the original top-down perspective and I highly doubt they'll keep the original, horribly dated (but perfect for its time) battle system.

Either way, Bethesda's my company of choice to modernize Fallout. Hell, if it played just like Elder Scrolls but retained at least most of the original style and unique feel the Fallout universe had, I'd be perfectly satisfied.

Here's hoping the PS3 version isn't delayed 12 months though.

It's not going to be top-down like the past games, that's not Bethsoft's style.
