    http://www.cellfactorrevolution.com/

Free download for a 800 mb physX Engine & hardware by Ageia

You can only play 2 skirmish maps without an Ageia PhysX Card, while I do believe 4 other maps will be opened to you if you did have that card. You can play on LAN as well, though I havn't tried it yet. (connects by ip address)

    Re: Eellfactor: Revolution

I tried it last night, on 2 maps that I only had access to because I did not own a Ageia physX card.
The 3 classes are Guardian, BlackOps and Bishop.

Guardian is a huge dual wielding cyborg that uses their PhysX powers to enhance their movement (sprint) death from above (hyper jump) and a charged up power attack when only wielding 1 weapon.

BlackOps is a standard humanoid, single wielding, with left hand performing the PhysX action, (telekenisis, and hyperjump, though I couldn't get the hyperjump to work correctly)

Bishop is a PhysX user. Their main form of attack includes picking up stuff like canisters and boxes, and hurling them at their enemy. They can also pick up their enemy and tear them apart using their PhysX powers. (My main killing move ) Bishops can fly, so hiding is essential, as their PhysX powers are used up too quickly.

Wow, I knew the PPU was going down the tubes, but I didn't think ageia would have to resort to something like this to move hardware.

Wait, what's the deal? I need a certain graphics card just to play the game?

          Re: Cellfactor: Revolution

Nope, you need an Ageia PhysX card. It's a PPU- Physics Processing Unit- a specialized unit. In the same way that GPUs aim to take the stress of graphics off the CPU, a PPU aims to take the stress of physics off the GPU. Thing is, GPUs are so silly powerful nowadays, and they're getting greater physics support, the PhysX card (and competitor) are nearly unused- which isn't helped by the small amount of games that support it... and the fact that it can, in some cases, actually make games SLOWER (more objects on screen = more textures for graphics card)

You don't need to replace your graphics card, it's something else to add on your PC entirely.

The PhysX card are made by 2 main manufacturers. BFG and ASUS. I saw the BFG one on sale for 149.99, but just to do something like this is "meh" not worth it I agree.

Though I would like to head to my local Fry's Electronics and buy one, use it for a couple of days and return it.

I was playing last night on 1680 x 1050 res, and it was lookin' pretty good, until the artifacts started showing up, in which case, I had to restart the Cellfactor.
