Now he's accusing Take-Two of trying to violate his first amendment rights, and accusing Take-Two, the ESA, Penny Arcade, and gamespot, among others, of racketeering.


I wonder if there's anyone out there who still takes Jack Thompson seriously. I imagine scientology has more serious believers than he does nowadays...

Its not a violation of your first ammendment rights if the court agrees you should stop filing frivelous lawsuits. There's a fine line between having a legitimate legal dispute and outright legal harassment. Every suit he's won has been overturned, the rest of his suits have ended because the courts understand the concept of protected speec and Jack Thompson does not.

Only reason he gets any media attention is because they know their ratings will go up if the get a soundbyte from this raving lunatic. I don't know where he even gets off sueing people who have a charity for children and donate good, wholesome game systems and game to children.

Where oh where, is the terrible unforgivable violence found in Brain Age, Animal Crossing and Tetris DS? Is Kirby going to creat serial killers? Will Katamari Damacy inspire kids to roll everything they see into a ball?

If anything, you need to go right after Pac-Man. He runs around in a dark room, gobbling up magic pills and sees ghosts.

Mario is suspicious too. First off, Peach gets "kidnapped" by Bowser. Let's face it, she's just as much getting kidnapped as Fred and Daphnie were "looking for clues." Kidnappings are a rare occurance, these are clearly booty calls. But Peach and Bowser also need the thrill of getting caught and this is where Mario comes in. They know they can keep luring him into their kinky little game if they just lace his path with magical mushrooms, flowers and shiny stars that make him think he's invincible when he's really just passed out somewhere in Yoshi's Island.

In the end, everyone gets what they want and Mario is none the wiser. Why? Because whatever Bowser did is magically forgotten the moment Peach pulls out one of her baked cakes. I think she hypnotically programmed him to forget the moment he sees a cake, because he always does. That or its just laced with more drugs.

I'm on to Nintendo, man, I know they're just trying to get kids into drugs and pre-marital sex and/or beastiality. Least we now know where all those Koopa Kids came from in Super Mario Bros. 3. Mario wasn't just sleeping in Super Mario Bros. 2, Peach had him drugged up and in a coma so she could drop a litter of reptilian freaks and he'd never know.

lol WHO'S perpetuating racial stereotypes again? I wish that "pot calling the kettle black" line wasn't so cliche now.

I dunno, the more I read about Jack Thompson the more inclined I am to believe that he's just a straw man created and paid by someone in the video game industry to make his purported position seem insane. I was doing my best to ignore him until his name turned up again on PA.
