Re: How long do you play a new game before moving on?

I've lost a lot of "stamina" when it comes to games as I've gotten older. When I was 18, FFVII had just came out, and I'd have to say that was the last game I really just sat and played for hours and hours...my record was 14 hours in a single session (god, I remember my back hurt sooo bad after playing that game from sitting on the floor in my room that long).

Over the last few years, I find myself losing the drive to sit and play a game for hours at a clip. FFXI is pretty much the only game I can take in long stretches anymore...I think it's the fact that I can still be social in game and talk to real people that keeps me playing for more than an hour or two.

It kinda sucks in a way, because I still buy games regularly, I just never finish them anymore. Take Okami for instance...I was so excited for that game to come out, it looked really cool...I bought it, played it for an hour or so, and haven't touched it since. Not because it's a bad game, it's actually awesome, but I've just been too "meh" lately for games in general.

I picked up Burnout: Dominator (what a disappointment ; ; ) and God of War 2 on friday, and I've been psyched for GoW2 ever since I completed the first one, so I've actually been playing that a lot over the weekend. But I've got sooo many games that I've played 1/3 of the way through and lost interest, not because they're bad games, just because I can't just SIT and play games anymore. The second I plan to do something, my phone rings, or there's another crisis at work, or who knows what else. It sucks, kinda...I miss my hardcore gaming days...if anyone out there can teleport me back to when I was a kid again I'd appreciate it... ^^
I'm a slow motion accident, lost in coffee rings and fingerprints...
