Back by popular demand.
A long time ago, on a forum that shall remain nameless, I got into an argument with someone who was a professional troll. Needless to say, he thought Halo 2 was the end-all be-all of console gaming, and I felt otherwise.
I cited the fact that for a game whose development was so long, the visible delay that occurred in relation to the textures loading after the 3D models was horrible. (You can see what I mean during almost every cutscene and when you normally respawn in multiplayer.)
He said that for me to bitch about something that is "barely noticeable" and "takes only a split second" and "doesn't happen that much" was evidence that I was of homosexual alignment.
So, I sat down and I wrote an entire rebuttal to why Halo 2 wasn't the game that everyone wanted it to be.
GRANTED, it is an enjoyable game, for what it is, but I just feel that when dissected and reviewed from an objective point of view, not a fanboyish orgasmic point of view, the game can be seen very differently.
Without further delay, here is my very old essay.
