The guy with the grey hair isn't Sephiroth though, everyone wonders about that. I'm 99% sure, but if you watch the trailer it doesn't look like him.

The guy with the long grey hair is supposed to be Sephiroth. Personally, I have mixed feelings about a sequel.. it totally defies the ending to the game, much like how Chrono Cross totally defied Chrono Trigger. I hate when Square does that. =/ I'm eager to see it regardless because I am a big FF7 fan, though.

Funny how FF and Square have become more and more centered around FMV scenes in games.. now we have a "sequel" that is nothing but a giant FMV movie. Where's the beef?

FF7-2 is a dvd release. It's already been announced by S-E as such at the Tokyo Game Show.

So far they don't *Plan* on doing a sequal for FF7, but they said that it's not completely out of the picture. The response given by fans since the release of the trailor and with FFX-2 has caused S-E to re-think it's sequal policy. Also they said they were thinking of re-doing FF7 with PS2 level graphics all together.

I'd post the interview where this info comes from, but it got lost when FF7-2.com's forum went down

Omgoodness lol. I like how the guy whom we don't know is yet who is like either A) sephiroth himself B) another jenova reject C) sephiroths one and only ^^ w D) meh i really duno just throwin out ideas but yeah anyway he has similiar traits to sephiroth but what's cool is. . . not only is his weapon shorter. . . so is his hair! lol ehh? ehh? i'm on to somthing with the hair to sword ratio i know it. And wow they sure made Cloud look more asian (jp) for this movie versus the whitey most imagine him to be from ff7. But yeah after seeing that trailer i'm looking forward to this sucker. I'd import the movie if i knew whether or not there are english subtitles. . . (oh also i like how they used some of the original tracks from ff7)

The man with the long, grey hair in in fact Sephiroth. His face reminds me of Gollum. Only thing that really gave him away was the Masamune.

Also, regarding the plotline: from what I've gathered so far, a disease has begun to spread to everyone who was injected with the Mako for the SOLDIER program. Cloud's gone out to search for a cure.

Well if this is like any DVD we should be able to choose the english option and be able to watch it. Then again who knows, S-E would be stupid to screw us out of this one

As for Sephiroth reappearing I dont think thats the case, if you remember back to when you goto Cloud and Tifas home town there was a flashback of Sephiroth standing in the fire of the town burning that is most likeley a re-render of that
