Re: Magic: The Gathering
Yup 3rd edition or later. Still a good card to have. I know I still have mine in a toploader with the rest of my rares.
Good times, good times.

Re: Magic: The Gathering
Check the border, if there's no shadow you've got a second edition one(not to be confused with Base Set 2). The third printing and everything afterwards has a shadow around the picture frame.Originally posted by Firewind View PostDepends on what he has really. Some of the older cards are too cool to sell on really. I have an original 1999 Base Set Foil Charizard (I don't think it's 1st Edition but it definitely is not Base 2) that I could sell on for a good price today and get cash in hand by calling one of 3-4 numbers.
God I played that game way too much and for far too long. I made it all the way to the first set that had Pokemon from Gold and Silver before I finally stopped playing.

But frankly...I just don't want to because it's just so awesome and gets people talking about it whenever I get together with friends to game or go to play at a local gaming place. It's something cool to look at and let your friends look at.
And it does sound like a lot of cards to sort through and find the prices for and eventually sell on. Still there very well be something really nice in there.
