I think you're just in denial that Red combo decks are a thing.

Mono-Red combo decks are a thing; what Blue was in there was simply seasoning to TM's taste.

You can put Kiki-Jiki pretty much anywhere and have an instant combo deck. He (Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker) is a dick.

Good lord. Out of curiosity, I decided to browse Star City Games for the prices they would pay for various cards. After all, I spent the better part of this past Monday sorting out my entire (Home Depot Medium-Sized) cardboard box worth into their various editions.

As it turns out... I've owned a small fortune worth of cards for quite some time. I'll post details soon. Let me compile a list:

Bastok & Windurst Rank 10. ZM, CoP, ToAU, WoTG, ACP, MKD, ASA & SOA Complete.
                        99 Kannagi / 99 Armageddon / 119 Nirvana Adventuring Fellow: Level 99
                        99 SMN / 99 NIN / 99 COR / 99 WHM / 99 PUP / 99 BLM / 99 THF / 99 SCH / 99 GEO

                            Tempest:
                            4 Ancient Tombs ($6.00 each)
                            2 Cursed Scrolls ($5.00 each)
                            4 Grindstones ($8.00 each)
                            4 Humility ($8.00 each)
                            1 Intuition ($25.00 each)
                            2 Wasteland ($30.00 each)

And I'm not even going to bother listing the other editions. I'll just list a few names:

                            Lions Eye Diamond
                            Thought Sieze
                            Misdirection
                            Mana Drain ($80.00???? really???)
                            Reset
                            Akroma
                            Burning Wish
                            Ensnaring Bridge (4 of them)
                            Progenitus
                            Blood Moon
                            3 Counterspells from Beta
                            Entreat the Angels
                            City of Brass (Arabian Nights)

and 2 that surprised me a lot:

Squirrel Tokens? $4.00 each. I have 20 of them from back in High school. lmao
Arabian Nights MOUNTAINS.... $15.00 each. Apparently they're in high demand for some fucking reason. I have 4 of those.

Also an Underground Sea that I plan to keep... otherwise that's a cool $100.00 all by itself.

                            - - - Updated - - -

After calculating in the condition of each of the cards listed above, my total comes to $400.00 and some change. Why didn't I look this up sooner? I'm selling this shit and Starting from scratch with standard decks only.

This weekend's project: Fish out all of the above-listed cards and compile a list for SSG. This might take a while.

I imported all the duel decks and un-sets into my oracle because I like having token art and snazzy basic lands. I've been trying all morning to figure out how to import the newer tokens that they've been releasing with every expansion, but aren't referenced in the gatherer anywhere. I've figured out how to add them to the xmls, but there are a bunch of problems. For example:

All cards and tokens must have unique names. The first card was in Duel Decks: Angels vs Demons, so if you have it installed as I do, you can't make a user-defined token called "Spirit." I need to differentiate between the other two anyway, so I could call them "Spirit (white)" and "Spirit (blue)" which be slightly ugly on the board but functional, except then there are these guys:

If we can agree on a naming convention for this stuff, it would be easy for me to write a tokens.xml that everyone can put in their Cockatrice folder to make it grab appropriate art for any tokens they make.

I approve though giving them unique names might be tricky. I suppose Squirrel (G1) or [G1]Squirrel would work for a Green 1/1 Squirrel but I don't know how tacky it would look o nthe board.
