It's like that scene from Life of Brian where no matter what he says everyone thinks he's the savior, only exactly the opposite of that.

Because clearly everything you have to say is important.

No, I'm not calling you arrogant; in fact, I'm agreeing with you and teasing you at the same time. No .

I bought the indy title "Cthulu Saves the World" and it was a fun lil 8bit FF knockoff with some pretty fun plays on the genre. I didn't get very far cuz ... well... life happens. I'll come back to it eventually.

Well I took the plunge and made the thread, TM, if it gets bad or seems like it's heading that way, feel free to shut it down. http://www.ffxionline.com/forums/off...o-bashing.html

If you use the B&N reader, or a Nook, (and there is most likely the same thing on the Knidle) there is the The Essential H.P. Lovecraft Collection for like $1.

It has the following stories included:

    At the Mountains of Madness
    The Call of Cthulhu
The Case of Charles Dexter Ward
    The Color Out of Space
    Darkness
The Dream Quest of Unknown Kadath
    The Dreams in the Witch-House
    The Dunwich Horror
    Herbert West: Reanimator
    The Horror at Red Hook
    The Horror in the Museum
    Hypnos
    Imprisoned with the Pharaohs
    The Lurking Fear
    The Other Gods
    The Shadow Out of Time
    The Shadow Over Innsmouth
    Shunned House
    The Thing on the Doorstep
Through the Gates of the Silver Key

At the very least, you'll be up on another internet phenomenon.

    ThinkGeek :: Cthulhu Plush
    Munchkin Cthulhu: Chibithulhu Plush

I started reading the short story Call of Cthulu one day waiting for someone in a Borders bookstore. Was just getting interesting when I had to put it down and chillax with my friend.

Cthulhu Mythos - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia might give you a few ideas.

My first introduction was when I was in college and I was in group of friends who loved to RPG. The GM had created his own fantasy set rpg called Grimstone (a maginficently elegent 6sider game) but he routinely liked to get us to play Call of Cthulu so he could drive our characters insane and kill us over and over and over. We even did a couple of LARPs for Halloween. Good times.

I don't want to muck this thread up any further, but would anyone be interested in an ABSOLUTELY NO BASHING "What do you believe?" thread? If we could do it maturely, I think it would be very interesting to see what kind of things other people believe when it comes to God/Gods/Goddesses/Spirits/Etc.
