I've now heard from a couple of acquaintances whose kids or whose students have been utterly terrified by all this Rapture bullshit. The media coverage has been very prominent -- and many kids (as well as too many adults) can't pick up the sarcasm in news reports.

I just asked my manager if I have to come into work Monday if the rapture happens. He said yes since the company owner definitely will still be on Earth.
