New episode was pretty good.

Having a Spike-focused episode was nice for a change, and it was pretty interesting getting to see him through various stages of growth, though I wasn't expecting greed to be the catalyst for that.

The scene where they were in Zecora's place, and they looked up and saw that the place was stripped clean made me think of how I am when in comes to dungeons in Skyrim.

Seeing them do a King Kong parody was amusing, as well.

I also liked where Spike confesses his feelings to Rarity. Very d'awwww worthy.


And lastly, I loved the scene where Pinkie was assaulting Spike with the cakes.

Party Cannon was one of my favorite things about the episode too. I also loved the song, getting to see Octavia again (now its DJ's turn to appear next!), Derpy's appearance, and Twilight's dancing.

Oh, and Fleur and Fancy Pants were both great. I want to see more of them.


Did that pony near the beginning of the episode that knew Rarity make anyone else think of Ellis from L4D2?

When Pinkie Pie showed off her party cannon I thought "That's it, this episode can't get any better." And then she rolled it right out the door into Fancy Pants' garden party.

Nowhere near as awesome but it was nice to see Opalescence trying to do some good instead of being an insufferable bitch all the time.
