Basically, go back and reread my points. You might not agree with them, but that's only because you're wrong. Neither one of us is misunderstanding anything.

I'm not being a prick about this. I do wash my hands as well. I am just being the... "Devils Advocate" if you will and bringing up points that state that washing your hands does nothing more than make it sothat theres just less of the germs on your hands. Children get sick easily, thatws because their immune system doesnt know how to fight off the infection because their immune system doesn't know how to fight it. Once they are sick though, their immune system is stronger against that infection, and knows how to fight it. The elderly have a weaker immune system because of their age (Not sure the real reason though). And those with compromised immune system should be careful of others that could be sick. They should be weaing gloves and a medical mask to help protect them from the bacteria and infections others might be carrying as well.

How is it the same thing? Your not doing something that would cause a pair of gloves (If you were wearing them) to break when you do every day things. As soon as you wash your hands, they getr covered in germs again. Everything has germs and whenyou touch it, they transfer on your hands. Also... the parts of your body you don't wash has germs on it, and they go crawling to your hands after they are washed. So, no matter what you do, you are transfering germs to another person.

I don't see why you guys are arguing? There's germs everywhere.. Kids get sick. They're a sespool of germs. Kids pass germs to other kids. We touch door knobs, phones, and steering wheeles which have a ton of germs and bacteria. No matter how much you wash your hands or use hand sanitizer, you're fighting a losing battle.

My immune system is strong enough to fight off germs specifically because of my interaction with germs. If they have a compromised immune system they can wash their own hands. I'm not the only source of germs that they'll come in contact with over the course of the day.

This, except not really losing. It's just a natural interaction.

Im at my tech support contact-center part time job during the night, right. I'm sitting around in this cozy warm chair, right.

It gets kinda swampy at the end of the night, right. I'm a little chubby, k. It happens to us moar, the swampiness, I mean.

Since I get out of here at night there's sometimes the midnight in-car making-out sessions with my hot date but I need not explain the reasons why I wash my swampy underparts at night in the office WC stalls, for it is only a matter of proper personal higyene, solely and exclusively.

I use a combination of tissues, soap, water and gentle caress to unfunk myself up.

How did this turn into a two page penis joke thread ;p (not that there is anything wrong with that lol)

If you go to the bathroom, and do anything, wash your damn hands, I dont care how heathy you are, or what you did or did not do in there. Its common curtsy, and good hygiene.

oh cool I found this Hygiene list ;p

Re: I don't need to wash my hands...

Ok, that list makes me laugh....

                          WASHING YOUR HAIR

First off washing your hair depends on the individual...especially with older people. I do not have to wash my hair every other day and its perfectly fine. As you get older you just don't have as much oil as you did when you were younger. On the other hand, my daughter has to wash her hair EVERY DAY because she has a excessive oil problem. And then there are people who use a lot of hair styling products in their hair, they also need to wash it every day.

And leaving conditioner on your hair doesn't do squat either! Hair is DEAD WASTE. It has hair follicles that regular conditioner smooth down so your hair isn't frizzy but leaving it on does the exact opposite with the collection of dirt and dust that it gathers. Use regular wash out conditioner and then every 2 weeks use a deep treatment. Put a good conditioner on your hair after washing it but don't rinse. Then put a towel around your conditioned hair and use a blow dryer on the toweled hair for 3-5 minutes depending on the length. The heat penetrates the towel and deep conditions your hair....kind of like a hot oil treatment but cheaper. (I use natural oils like almond oil that I get a health food stores to give myself treatments like I stated above. Heating oil and putting it on your head isn't a good idea because you can burn yourself. Its better to put it on your head and then heat it.)

                          CUTTING YOUR HAIR

Again, this is an individual thing. Haircuts aren't free for most people so every six weeks might not be possible. Also hair can grow slower on some people and six weeks would be excessive. And if hair got so god damn brittle when it grew longer, why are there people with gorgeous long hair.......sometimes down to their ass!? I had long blonde hair down to my butt for over 10 years and never had this brittle issue.

                          GOING TO THE DENTIST

My insurance pays for one visit a YEAR, so every 6 months is totally out of the question. Also once a year is PERFECTLY acceptable. Of course the dental association is going to say OH EVERY 6 MONTHS!! It puts money in their members pockets! I recently went without dental insurance for 6 YEARS. I brush every day and floss and didn't have any issues. Then we got back our insurance and I went in for a cleaning. As you can imagine I thought "OMG am I going to have a rough cleaning!" Well it wasn't any worse than a cleaning that I had every year. When I told the girl that I had not been in for 6 years she couldn't believe it and checked my chart to see because my teeth had been so clean.

                          BRUSHING YOUR TEETH

I think what they needed to say here was that the length of time you spend brushing your teeth is the most important. Most people spend around 30 seconds brushing when they NEED to be spending 2 full minutes at least. One of the ways I do it is to put on my iPod when I do my evening "chores" and listen to a full song while I brush my teeth. (Of course, I sing and dance at the same time for some aerobics. lol) Normal electric toothbrushes aren't much better than brushing it yourself but the sonic toothbrush moves at such a high rate of speed that they do a MUCH better job than manual cleaning.

                          SHAVING

Oh yes, I'm going to go there. If a woman bathes regularly there is no reason on earth that not shaving her legs, and yes even her armpits, would be any less hyigenic than if she did. I MEAN SERIOUSLY.....DO MEN SHAVE THEIR LEGS AND ARMPITS!? No the majority do not and yet you don't see that article saying that they are filthy because they don't!.....oh but women are! Good lord come out of the god damn dark ages...........fucking article was written by a man no doubt.

                          BEFORE AND AFTER PREPARING FOOD

No one is going to stand there and wash their hands for 2 minutes.....well I take that back, we have a couple of surgeons in our family that do. lol But the majority of people do not, they will wash their hands for 30 seconds to a minute and thats about it. What I always do with anyone that comes to cook in my kitchen with me is to have them wash their hands and then liberally use a hand sanitizer...........before and after preparing food. We have some great resources available to us now to ensure a certain amount of cleanliness in our daily lives and we should incorporate them into our schedules.
