And then giving me a dirty look when I make to pull into it, since it is my assigned spot. Don't look at me like that, bitch, I will hit you with this truck and you will deserve it. Don't give me fucking attitude when I'm just trying to get my ass in my parking spot so I can get the fuck inside (in the AC, which my truck does not have) and relax after my day at work.

If you wanna fucking stand around, I see a sidewalk less than ten feet away. Whore. Oh, and get a job.

Mine's people milling about in places generally used for moving to and from places. Get the F outta the stairwell to have your damn convo before I kick you down them. This is a doorway and there is already an actual door here... I feel no earthquake happening...get the F outta outta the GD way!!!

I almost got backed into in the Burger King drive-thru the other day. I had the horn pressed for a full five seconds before airhead stopped and she stopped just centimeters away. I was sitting in the line, I couldn't go anywhere.

I swear the legal driving age for women should be raised to 30.

I always, without fail, have these near-collision, near-death encounters with teenage girls or college-aged women. I didn't check to see if she had a cell phone in her hands, but she probably did. All the others did.

Thing about my car is its a black Mercury Cougar. Its nice. I got lucky, one of my parent's neighbors had a kid going into the marines and he wasn't going to need a car and wanted some spending money. I got a great deal on it, lots of milage left so it won't give me so many problem. People are shocked that someone that looks as nerdy as me has such a thing. It is the first car I've had an kind of emotional attachment about. Anyone damages this and it will not end pretty.

I will not play nice with people over this car.

Neighbor's kids used to try to do skateboard tricks near it, they did not get pleasant looks for it. Thankfully someone finally cracked down on them, they weren't supposed to be skateboarding the apartment complex anyway.

Might be the guy next door got to them, too. He has an arguably nicer car. At the very least, he takes damn good care of it. Always out waxing it, keeping it looking good, keeping it covered when not in use. I could see him snapping at them for getting near his or my car.

But you're not related to me and I don't do family reunions.

I should point out the only person that ever did successfully hit me with a car was a preacher's son, but I got a settlement on that one. I think he's traumatized enough from lucking out that he didn't kill me with his SUV. That's what you get for gunning it on a college campus.

I'm sorry ... I had to come back to this for an update.

Why the hell is it that every time I change lanes to get into what appears to be a better flow, the lane stops moving w/in 10 seconds of my joining it? This commute to the theater I'm doing a show in is roughly 10miles away... it took me 50min to get there. I do not foresee it getting better. Fml.

I'm in Seattle... we have that problem workday of the year w/o any construction. It's just insane up here. Construction would make me //wrists...... . .. or just scream at my dashboard. I seriously felt like I was in the opening scene from Office Space.

Apparently it's the rain... people cannot drive in the rain. It only took me 20 min or so to get there yesterday cuz it was sunny. W(hy)TF do people from one of the rainiest portions of the entire country have to slow down to 5-20mph on the freeways (I-5, I-90) ... f'n moronz!!!!!

OMFG I hate driving in the rain here, too. God help us if it ever snows here ... I've told my boss. If it snows here I am not coming to work. These people can barely drive in a light drizzle. It drives me absolutely bonkers.

LOL... so Seattle had that huge snowstorm last year that basically crippled the city. People in Seatown couldn't even walk in it. When the slush iced over a lil, the people walking down the sidewalks moved like handicapped cats having to clumsily run thru a long series of puddles. Each upright object (tree, lamp-post, anything that looked like it may support their weight, etc) was their "dry island" they'd cling too as if leaving the perch was another pull at Russian Roulette. It was absolutely amazing. I'm not originally a city slicker. I'm originally from a small farmtown in E. WA where it really snows; so, naturally, I just strode past them as they stared upon me w/ a mixture of fear and awe.

It drives me absolutely bonkers.

I used that term as a child... I never truly understood it 'til I drove in rush hour traffic.

It is. But going from posted speed limit of 60-70mph down to 5-20mph is beyond excessive in the name of safety, imHo. If there was a direct and quantifiable link drawn between how far under the posted speed limit one travels and the level of road-rage people start feeling that whole "It's safer to drive slower..." part kinda loses it's power.

Okidoki... now that I'm back on the road alot during the worstest of times I may just light up this thread like no other.

Old peeve reshreshed: Slow cars in the fast lane(s). Gtfo(ver) !!!

My mom used to be totally guilty of this until we were going down to Portland to grandma's house (me 16-17yr or so) and a group of motorcyclist's pulled up behind us. We were doing 60mph in a 65mph and just tanking the left lane on a two-lane freeway. I mention'd she should proly get over for them to pass cuz they're kinda getting close, we aren't really supposed to be hoggin' the left lane anyway, and technically you're not supposed to pass on the right. She said something to the effect of "whatever, you're not driving"... after edging up close to us and intentionally weaving a bit these bikers finally passed on the right. Each staring/glaring into our car as they did so. As they got around us the words "Hell's" and "Angel" could be seen patched all over them. After they all passed she got over and stayed there... for the rest of her life.

2nd one: radio commercials are longer and more plentiful during rush hour and all the stations seem to put them all on at the same time. You want a captive audience? Too bad... you get a audience irritated to be going 50-40 under the speed limit.

3rd one: engagement ring radiomercials.... I just f'n hate them. Hey Kay's, Ben Bridge, and whomever the hell else is out there I found these for ya!!

This is a pretty darn good friend I'm talking about, here, though. What I'm afraid of is that maybe I haven't been the good friend, maybe I have asserted my presence a bit too much which is prompting the "leave me alone" sentiment. Or maybe "leave me alone" is simply indicating a desire to genuinely be left alone for the time being, and I've not been respecting that lately.

I just don't know. I really do think it is me, though, because I tend to not be very . . . perceptive, historically speaking, when people try to subtly put me down. I mean, there's one story involving me and this friend of mine in a situation where I was absolutely oblivious to what was trying to be implied . . . I was in a perpetual state of depression for days!

I think this is just another thing that falls under the category of "Pet Peeve: myself."

Well the only recourse is sit down for a serious talk and get to the root of the problem. Otherwise you can be interpreting things wrong and he/she could take what you are doing/not doing wrong too. Don't potentially lose a friend over a misunderstanding. And, fyi, I believe in listening to your gut feeling and what it tells you about a relationship.
