Re: What's your pet peeve in RL?
I'm really getting tired of my boss being passive-aggressive.
I got back from a Microsoft conference thingy today to find my co-worker lamenting their deceased laptop. We spent a few hours trying to fix it before declaring it dead and there being no real workarounds to be had, given our resources. Co-worker decides to head home and sends our boss(who hasn't shown up to the office all day long) an email informing him of the situation. My co-worker requests that I send a collaborating email so my boss doesn't think he's just blowing off work. So I send an email explaining what happened and how we did try to fix the situation.
Later, I get a snarky response from my boss telling me how he is "not the next level of escalation for these issues".
Yeah, except you have been. Often. All the damn time when purchasing new laptops is involved. Not to mention the fact that I sent that email as a courtesy to my co-worker. We're a small company. I get that he's the president and all, but for fuck's sake, it's just four people in this office and we thought you might want to know why one of your employees left early for the day. There's no need to be passive-aggressive about it. It looks like he told off my co-worker in a similar manner as well, seeing as how he CCed me on the email.
I guess I'll just go back to not communicating with my boss ever. At all. For any reason. All the damn time.
