God dammit ...

Get a text message this morning from ... my e-mail. Wait wut? Yeah, it turns out something/someone got in there and mass e-mailed a link to everyone on my contacts list. Luckily, it was not my professional e-mail address. But still ... then I had to go through the trouble of trying to warn everyone not to click that link because people are dumb and they'll click anything.

Then I had to change my password.

Then I had to delete all of the people whose e-mails came back as returned. Now I'm watching it.

I think this has to do with the fact that I was on msn last night to get pictures from my ex-husband (msn is the easiest way to do it since hotmail has a size limit). This is the first time in almost a year that I've even touched msn and the e-mail address I've logged in with gets some sort of e-mails everyone bug? Yeah ...

Not that I know for a fact how it happened. It could be any measure of things, I suppose. Running scans now. Still, not what I wanted to wake up and do this morning.

At least it ends in .html instead of .exe but that doesn't mean the page itself doesn't have six million pop-ups just begging to be clicked to download some sort of nasty virus.

It was just that link in the e-mail, no subject. I'm glad my cell phone is a contact otherwise I may not have checked it until later.

Through the awesomeness of Firefox and Noscript (plus ABP and everything else), that link leads to an illegal online pharmacy... well, illegal in that they aren't following international regulations and their own hosts' ToS.

Dude. JG Wentworth did not need to make a new commercial with their little song. The bus one was perfect (except for the bad lip syncing, but that was all part of the charm of it). They have this new one and the vocals are not as good and it's just not nearly as epic. They should have kept the bus one.

That is my pet peeve of the day.

Push family members and reality tv. I've worked with teens for years and often pregnant teen girls/teen couples. So my Auntie, whom I love dearly, pesters me to come over and watch Teen Mom 2 with her. Now I did not even know about this show or that it was a spin off of another reality show but I just knew from the title that I was NOT going to like this show. I was right. Yet there I sat through all 3 DVR'd episodes with my auntie who then proceeded to ask me my opinion. This is a bad thing to do when you are enraged. lol Poor Auntie.

Also I'm a failure at relationships. I haven't found some happy medium between being caring and attentive, and being interesting to pursue or at least making a girl put some effort forth.

Well that's fine though. I have no issue with people waiting to have sex, I do have an issue when those people are the ones who write sex scenes. It also goes for kissing scenes, but it's not nearly as bad.

I see no problem with kissing scenes, its the sex scenes that I have issues with. Two people kissing is ok, even if its in a RP, but when it comes to sex, that's when I cut it off. Its not needed at all.

Depends what kind of mood I'm in. Sometimes I just want some good smut but don't want to watch porn. The imagination is a wonderful thing. But when the smut is written by a fourteen year old who has never even held hands with someone, it really sucks. It's like when your birthday comes and the gift that you were led to believe you were getting is nowhere to be found, all you get is random crap you didn't even ask for. That's what getting through a fairly good story and then ending up at a shitty sex scene is like.

Although most of the time, I can spot when it's going to be bad from the beginning. And yes, this does apply mostly to fanfiction. And there are several peeves along that line.

How about...
---Poor grammar and spelling ...
---Song fics that post the lyrics and then basically repeat the lyrics in the body of the text.
---Fics that copy dialogue from the show/movie/book/game/whatever and insert the characters' thoughts. This is thinly-veiled plagiarism. There is a difference between using a single quote from the show as a jumping-off point and copying the entire in-universe conversation verbatim.
---"Their tongues battled for dominance" /facepalm And yes I felt the need to include that because so many people use it and I'll be honest, I've kissed a few people in my time and I have yet to think about battling anything while kissing.
---People who don't know popular writing conventions like starting a new paragraph when someone new starts talking. Or using quotation marks. Fastest way to make me click back is to see a huge wall. Who the hell teaches these kids English and grammar?
---Defiantly. There is never an "A" in definitely, and if you pronounce it correctly you will hear that. Your spell-checker will automatically correct it to the incorrect word because your spell-checker knows that there's no fucking "A" in definitely.

Oh, I could go on for days. Some fanfiction is good. But a lot of it is just awful. And what's worse is that when you read the reviews, the other fourteen year old fangirls are squeeeeeeeeeing all over the page and telling them how great they are and that they should "zomg writeeee moreee!!!!11!" The cycle of bad perpetuates itself.

I have actually written a few satire pieces that mock bad fics, but it does little to help. I enjoy reading fiction, and yeah, sometimes I really enjoy fanfiction. I just wish there weren't so many pieces of crap that people post. Lol.

On another note, if anyone is interested in reading and giving feedback on my stuff, feel free to PM me for a link. I don't write a lot but I like to think it's better than crap.

That is why I don't read fan fiction, and only rp with people who I know are competent . Yea, typos happen when you are in a chat room, but people usually fix them in OOC. I also do Forum Rp, and I have rules about grammar, and spelling. If they are broken three times, I kick them (Except for the cyber rules. The second it happens, they are gone.).

It's not so much that I'm waiting. The want for it is there, and I suppose I was waiting till' my girlfriend deemed it the right time or something, she didn't really seem to want it that much. The fact that I just got dumped didn't help things, but at least I get to go on with my life again. Though, video games seemed to have lost a lot of the fun they had while I put them off for a while.

That's understandable. Trust me, I'm hurting a lot from losing someone and the desire to do anything at all some days is severely lacking. There are days when I just want to call him and see if I can get him to come over because the only thing I want to actually do is be around him. And when he's there it doesn't matter what we actually do. So yeah, I know what you mean.
