I HATE when people do shit like that Aks! Or when you make plans to do something with someone on a particular day but then after that they get an offer to do something better so they take that offer. Then you call them the day before or the day of and they tell you "oh sorry I'm going to <blah> with so and so, I can't make it".

REALLY? You had temporary amnesia when you were asked out on a date when you had plans to go to the movie with me?? I wouldn't mind as long as you called me a couple days before and said "OMG guess who asked me out! But the bad news is its the day we are supposed to go to the movies. Would you mind if we rescheduled?" No, then I wouldn't mind but making plans and not telling me till I'm ready to go is BULLSHIT. (Yes, this happened recently. I realize that older women getting dates is a "grab it and go" type of situation but at least call me and give me a gd heads up!)

Fuck even if I had gotten something today, even a few hours later, I would have probably been willing to forgive and forget. Things come up, I understand that, but I can't believe that from the time I got up (8 AM) until now (10:30 PM) there was not even 30 seconds during which a text message could have been sent to me. (I mean come on, bathroom time is PRIME texting time! lol) I probably won't hear anything tomorrow, either, because people are too chickenshit to just own up to their goddamn mistakes and try to hide like after a week I won't still be mad. What the fuck ever.

I'm super annoyed. I thought about texting myself but honestly, it's not on me to find out what the fuck. And if I don't hear anything tomorrow, I'll just text and say that obviously, my time and my friendship is not of value, and that maybe we should just part ways. Because that's obviously the case at this point.

Good for you! I wish that my daughter would do this with some of her leeching useless friends. Instead I get the teary phone calls and have to listen to how they hurt her, etc. Then she wonders why I never like her friends! lol

I ripped my g/f a new a-hole over this. She had plans with this guy for FOUR days before we were supposed to go out yesterday. I made her cry....kinda made me feel like shit...(of course this is not the only time this has happened with her).

There would be no logical point in dating someone who your going go to hurt is there Grand? Another pet-peeve is when people touch my damn hair. I've hit many people due to that. Caught some man in the sack from it. My hair reaches my feet and I am 5'5. Took me 4 years to grow it out. STOP TOUCHING IT PEOPLE DAMN! It's not that hard to comprehend do NOT touch my hair.

LOL Ya my hair used to be below my bum and people would always touch it. Up in a pony tail it went but it still hung down quite long...so they still touched it. Then I took to wearing it in a long braid....and they still touched it! So I cut it all off.....nah I didn't do it for that reason but I did cut it all off. Long hair on older women just makes them look older sometimes so I cut it off. I had longer hair all my adult life so it was time for a change. lol

Btw Melody, you can refer to me as TGM if you like. It's shorter and easier.

Tch ladies, lemme tell you, as a guy with, well, medium hair I guess for a guy about 2 inches long in the front, women and even some men have their hands in my hair all the time. Shortish hair isn't the answer.

If that text was from a guy, tomorrow tends to mean "eventually". Unless he's trying to hit it, the tomorrow afternoon means tomorrow afternoon -4 minutes.

Dunno about other guys, but when I mean eventually, I say "eventually," or something meaning "to be determined." If I plan on meeting a woman tomorrow, I say and mean tomorrow. And I try to make it clear that if they don't hear from me, they should assume the worst.

The worst not being that I've lost interest, more like that I'm dead or dying somewhere and am subsequently unable to meet.




On topic, pet peeve = not hearing from her after having seemingly enjoyed each other's company earlier.

Isn't it weird how your attitude changes after having a child? You'd probably seen that before and thought how that sucked but now with a child you can imagine the actual horror of it.

Yes, that was absolutely disgusting and totally preventable. My heart goes out to all the family members and injured parties.

Japan is giving me some new pet peeves, and bringing out others.

One, people who stand on the 'walk' side of escalators or walkways. Mainly because I did this earlier, accidentally, damn left/right roadway switch. Felt like a total jackass.

Two, my wallet is slightly too narrow to contain yen notes properly, which is made worse by the fact that the ATMs dispense ultra crisp notes that don't like to fold. And speaking of ATMs, three, why the fuck do they have hours? I mean, maybe if they turned them off in the middle of the night because everything else is closed anyway that would be fine, but we're talking about ATMs with 9-5 hours.

Four, I am legally able to vote for the President of the United States, but I can't buy a goddamn phone here without a copy of guardian ID because I'm six months too young.

Also in the 'feeling like a jackass' category, the turnstiles in the stations here are basically just little posts you walk between while sliding your ticket. most people have cards that only require them to touch their wallet to the machine to pay their fare. My commuter pass is a slip that has to be inserted into a slot on the front of the machine, and it pops up as I walk out the other side. This process takes next to no time, except when my card doesn't go in right. It only takes a split second to sort it out, but people don't slow down at these gates; you just walk through them while putting in your ticket. So when I stop for even a half second, it holds up the people behind me.

Oh, don't get me wrong, the pros more than make up for the cons. I lurve my little commuter pass to death; gets me to like eight different stations for free, and reduced rates to other places.

Also, fucking typhoon made my socks wet. Wet socks suck so badly.
