You do realize this is eticket and askannyi right, some people do have personal grudges against me, but these two are not part of that crowd.

People may be getting the wrong impression, I do agree with them having the right not to see the images, and that is why I took it down. It is the gray area where it is the internet, people are going to post nasty shit tbh. It is nessicary to take the proper steps by oneself to not see images that will gross people out, but again the line is very undefined. If you were to look at my emt book you would laugh at that pic, and those pics are readily available all over the internet. There is no right or wrong for either side to be honest, simply enough I think we are all mature enough to agree everything should have been handled differently on this situation. The pointless bickering on the other hand needs to stop, it is slowly killing this forum.

Again to those who may have been offended by the fake dead cat pic you have my apology. If you ever have any issue with something I post feel free to either pm me or post respectfully to have me remove it.

They have probably been/are going to be there for a while if your city is similar to mine: there's this one dead Armadillo that's right by the sidewalk I walk on every day, and it's stinking up the place! I didn't even know there were Armadillos around here!

    It's been that way for about a week by now . . . unmoved . . .

People are going to post things you don't agree with because not everyone shares your views. You don't like something so You should do something about it. This isn't the minority forcing something down your thought, it's taking personal responsibility for things.

It's not other peoples responsibility to make sure content is in line with your views.

Don't go driving outside of a city then. I probably passed 3 possums with guts strewn across the road this morning on the way to work.

If kids are going to be traumatized by that image, perhaps you should clue them into what that burger was before it was their food and let them become vegan now.

I gotta agree with eticket here.

First off, to say that this thread as a whole is inappropriate for children is a bit of a stretch. Maybe a total of 5 images and their captions could be considered inappropriate, and possibly more if you know the kids can read. Even if they can read, chances are they've heard it before, and it's a lot better for my kid to read, "FUCK" than for him to be traumatized by seeing a dead animal's guts, real or fake. I didn't know that was fake, not until someone told me.

Posting something like that was just asking to get reported. I was not offended by the BBQ cat sitting on a grill, or the brokeback kitties. Was I offended by the "dead" one? Not really, though I will admit that I was disgusted by it, which is simliar but not the same.

Eticket's example of tubgirl is dead on. Just because people can turn off images doesn't mean they should be forced to because people will post shit that's inappropriate or disgusting. There should be standards to be upheld here, especially on this, the "mature" Final Fantasy message board. If I wanted to see pics like that I would have stayed on Alla, but I came here because I thought this was a better, more mature version of the same thing.

I don't know, lately it seems as though this forum is going downhill, and as much as I love coming here I'm not pleased with the road it's taking. We do more bitching than anything else anymore.

I can't see someone posting goatse or tubgirl then playing it off by saying 'just turn off images'. Maybe not posting questionable shit in the first place is the way to go.

There are 2 reasons to turn that off (probably everywhere you can really)

    1. Pages load a hell of a lot faster.
    2. You never see things you didn't want to or didn't intend to. If you don't want to see it for whatever reason, the right way to deal with it is to do something about it, making someone else do it is not.

    6) When it isn't linked someone can't help but look at an image. It's not like you can scroll down a page and stop looking at it. The images are just sort of there. Though I agree I wouldn't bring a kid into the room and go... hey look at that. Doesn't keep them from looking in over your shoulder though. We all know how kids like to show up at just the right time.
    7) You weren't on AIM. Though looking back I suppose I could have PM'ed you instead of reporting it. Given the history you have with the board, I guess contacting you directly may have been more diplomatic. I was presuming though they would just edit it or link it instead of making a public post about it. lol
    live and learn.
    6) Now i would agree to that if it was a normal thread than bam! faked dead cat pic. It is an image thread that every image in it targets a group or something so none of the pics are child friendly. =3

    7) just post in the thread next time, I don't care to get into fights on this board, was fun messing with people for a majority of the time. But people take things way too seriously.

To mhurron: the options that is how I browse at work lol.

None of that makes it Sevv's responsibility or problem.

If you have kids and don't want them to see things like that, be a parent and do something about it. Block the images or the whole site on your end.

If you don't want to see it, maybe an image called deadcat isn't what you want to look at. I know I didn't so I haven't. Imagine that.

if you were offended then why didn't one person ask for it to be taken down look at replies once the first person asked it was removed.
