Simply sitting at a computer with a lot of windows open, moving your mouse and occasionally typing something makes it look like you're working.

If you can get more monitors, it looks like you're working even harder.

My trick is to just furiously type random letters into an Excel cell, then hit tab > left > delete to clear the cell. I do this pretty much every time someone walks by.


Although I do have to adjust the way I type on forums, I have to type my sentences in short bursts b/c the way I type things into the Excel sheets when I'm actually working sounds obviously different than when I'm typing proper paragraphs into a forums post, so for a bit my boss caught on and could tell when I was dicking around online.

I finally found a phone to use where I could call my children. It's been months, too fucking long but I had no money and my phone has long since been shut off. Well a friend gave me a phone card a few months ago and I found out there's a phone at the school I could use, so I got in there and called them.

My son's birthday is tomorrow, and it's tearing me up that I'm so far away from them, and I have no way of getting to them. Want your heart to break multiple times? Divorce someone and live more than 500 miles from your kids for periods of time when it's their turn to be with them.

So I call down there, and Lalito (my oldest) is starting school in August. He's 4 (tomorrow). I figured it's some pre-school that's like a few months at a time, on a cycle or something, but no. He starts in August and it goes till June.

TILL JUNE?!?!?!?!? What the fuck. I've been away from them for eight months already. You're telling me another year?!?!? No fucking way. And my ex totally fucking lied to me about this, too. He knew damn well I was wanting to get them in the next six months, but he put Lalito in this school without telling me how it was going to work. And now "it's al been paid" and "we can't pull him out now." Fucking douchebag.

And then, I'm a fucking tear-covered mess, nose running, just horribly upset and visibly so, and the guy in the place where I used the phone was like, "You can't use this phone for personal calls. Business calls only." FOR FUCK'S SAKE MAN, I haven't seen my kids in 8 months, haven't talked to them in over two, and you're going to give me shit?

FUCK YOU.

Some people I swear have no heart. Mine's breaking into a million pieces because I fucking MISS MY KIDS and people are telling me all these ways that I can't be with them or I can't even fucking talk to them.

I don't know how the hell I'm going to survive another year like this. I can't do it.

On the spider front, I must say that being bitten on my eye, yes my eye, has done nothing to endear me to most of the spider family.

There is one type of spider over here that I like, it's some kinda cute little ground spider.

I won't touch those creepy f**kers, they might run up the broom handle or whatever object I use to kill them!

I prefer the rubberband gun method myself, although you won't be able to mount your trophies using this method, but you won't be able to do that with most of the spider killing methods anyways.

Oh, and since you're scared to death of spiders, I won't regale you with my Grandpa's stories of living in California, dealing with tarantulas and the ones who are big enough and strong enough to actually climb back out of the vacuum hose, while it's running >.>

I'm not big on therapists myself. My Dad and I were having issues, and so my Mom wanted us to go see this therapist. We go a few times, and then there is just utter silence from the therapist, never here back, never even get a bill for the sessions we had even.

But hey! I can now say that I was dumped by my therapist! Sadly I think I need therapy to get over it though :/

And on the subject of things we loathe with every fiber of our beings... Clowns. I simply loathe and detest clowns, it goes beyond that, I just REALLY dislike clowns.

Yes black widows we have.....abundantly. In fact, after we came home from the MGS4 midnight release, my son freaked me out when we got to the back door. He goes "MOM STOP!" and I was pulling open the screen doing going "What?". He had this horrified look on is face and all I wanted to do was get in the house NOW! After we got in he said "You know there was a HUGE spider in front of the door, I could see its shadow." To which I immediately ran into the bathroom, stripped, and jumped into the shower all the while I was screaming, scratching, and slapping. We later found out that the spider was to the side of the door and the streetlight was casting its shadow on the door so it wasn't in front of the door as he thought. It did turn out to be a very large black widow spider though.

Not knowing your situation, and not knowing what you can do, kinda hard to give advice. But I would say that if you were supposed to get your kids within the next 6 months, make damn well sure that you get 'em in the next 6 months. Your ex had no business doing that, and he has only himself to blame for putting your oldest into a school when he knew that the kid wouldn't be able to finish the year there. Of course he'll try to blame you anyways, but still, that was his decision, and his money to waste.

Money already spent? Too bad on his part.

Can't pull him out? Sure you can, nothing is set in stone.

Not having any great experience with this myself mind you, but just from what I have heard other people around me saying, I've got my suspicions as to what he's doing, but you may not be wanting to hear that, so I won't say anything there unless you want me to.

But I will say that you might want to consider home schooling if the school thing is going to be an issue. I am highly in favor of it so long as the parents care about their kid, they'll teach them to the best of their ability.

All in all though, that really sucks, and I hope that things work out for you.

Aks, you're right this is wrong. I think I remember you saying once that you had an understanding with him but no legal documents. I think you need to get in touch with legal aid in your area and get working on that. It's obvious that he's trying to take the children from you and this is only going to get worse. I'd hug you to pieces if I could. /hugggggz

The right therapist is a godsend. There was a therpist that saved my life, Dottie Dow. She influenced my life in so many ways and I will be eternally grateful to her. My education and profession are due to her influence and the wonderful work she did with me. I felt the need to give back some of what was done for me and thats where I am now. If you think you need a therapist, then do it. If you feel the need to speak alone to the therapist then communicate this to him or her at a session. But remember, a therapist is not there to take sides. They listen and they help you figure things out. In the end, you do most of the work yourself...they just make sure you stay on the right track.
