Yep...I need to stay off of facebook and myspace lol. This girl that kinda stalked me for a bit during 11th grade sent me a friend request on facebook. Mind you I haven't seen her in about 4 years so I decided to add her. 2 mins after I add her, she writes on my wall "Hey! Get at me at <Phone Number>." #1 facebook automatically adds your phone # to everybody's phone book when you become friends....#2 I'm scared... Especially after looking at the last few comments she's made to other classmates of ours and she has no pics...

Need some opinions. Working on this new sig, and while I really like my current one, current emo-ness has won out and prompted a new project that indicates my level of sadness and loneliness I feel at the one person I used to share everything in game with quitting. I don't want to talk about that, if you don't mind. It's hard enough as it is without really dwelling on it, but this is oddly cathartic working on a Photoshop project.

Anyway, this just feels unfinished somehow, yet there really isn't anything I could add to it at this point. Without any text, it seems really incomplete, but with it, I'm not sure if it's too much or what. I suppose I don't know what else I should/could add to it, or if I should scrap it entirely. I'm relatively satisfied with how it looks, but it just doesn't feel done to me.

Anyway, this is what I've got at the moment, posted here because I trust you guys to be both honest with me and not nearly as annoying or stupid as the people on BG.



I don't know, the more I look at it, the more it grows on me, but something is just off somewhere. Thoughts?

Well, nothing like craggy mores to imply desolation IMO. Dunno if you can use 'em, but some of the areas in SoTC seemed to really hammer in the being alone aspect of the game.

BTW, love the black flower in your hair, very nice touch.

I think I'd either change the text, or change the posture and maybe scenery. Little tired so I'll have to give it some thought.

Perhaps have a sig that is the same place as your old on, but your character standing next to a tree/rock/wall, with one hand on it and is now looking at the empty beach? Toss in some footprints of the two of you dancing through the sand earlier perhaps?

Have a big crater in the ground, pineapple bits everywhere with a few pieces of his gear lying around, your pineapple strewn character looking shocked and a goblin holding up a sign with 10 on it? And in the chat log: Aksannyi's Cooking skill rises 0.1

I have dat swaps for all turbans in the game. I hate how they look.

Haven't gotten around to swapping Sipahi Turban or Cleric's Cap. Sipahi because I'm lazy (might do it right now though) and Cleric's Cap because ... who the fuck wears Cleric's Cap for anything? But I like seeing my hair. Another thing WoW got right, is allowing you to wear headgear but not show it if you don't want to.

Back on topic to the sig, you do have the idea right, I'm looking for a really dreary kind of look. I definitely looked through a lot of images until I found one that looked like a gray gloomy day, so I think that at least has it set right. And honestly I really do like how it looks, I'm thinking the text might go though (or be replaced with something else) but I still don't know, if I remove the text, how it will come across as though I'm sad that someone has quit the game and left me to toil about Vana'diel on my own. That is, in a nutshell, what I am going for. I don't know if I want to really add him in it at all, you know? Like, the absence of him there makes it seem like there's even more of a void.

I'm still toiling with it. But I appreciate the input. I'm gonna continue to play with it.

Don't register a phone number with it I don't and have no personal details i.e. exact address, phone etc. on my face book, just city location and sex, thats it. people still ahve to learn to be wary of what info tehy put on as you can attract the scary physco stalkers.

Maybe change the background to lufaise medows sitting with some flowers with carby next to you like a dog looking after you in your time of pain.

Aksannyi, you could use a Promyvion screenshot. There is nothing like a picture of a place literally referred to as Emptiness to beat people over the head with the obvious-stick without needing text.

Also, smaller. Most people with image sigs here have ones that are far too large-- it looks ugly, and detracts from the sig. Plus it keeps them from looking as sharp and sleek as they can. Even mine is pushing it, honestly. I've been considering replacing it.

Edit: for more head-pounding-obviousness, you could try a picture of Aksannyi in promyvion, with an outline of his character. Not too hard to do (protip: stroke) and would look a lot better than purple and pink text.

Oh I wasn't worried about her getting the number and calling me, I have my cellphone registered and I rarely use it. I was saying that if I wanted to call her I already had the number via the phonebook. What made it even worse is, instead of her writing me a note with her information in it, she wrote it on my wall so everybody could see it lolz. Looking through her last few comments it looks like all she's been doing is bragging about working two jobs and not being able to see the light of day.
