The thing I don't get, is what the hell happened:

1) PiNG didn't give it to him.
2) Intrest couldn't accumulate it.
3) He obviously didn't get it from posting.

Unless FFXIO is set up so the records and date are in 100% seperate databanks, I fail to see how this happened cept for a database error. 9 months is a VERY long time, and I am sure many things on FFXIO have changed since then. pre-change, or a side effect of a change might of caused this.

Lets just make a list what most hackers would do when they hack a fourm for a prank:

1) completely re-vamp the website and turn it into their playground.
2) Max or Minimize the system, e.x. Max or 1 Gil, EXP level in RPG, et.c
3) makes themselves a god - Admin status, max gil, max rep.
4) Ban everyone.
5) Make everyone else gods.


Nothing matches up in this. NOTHING. I just don't get it.

See, that is what I meant by not having any hard evidence to condone (Sp? Right word even?) me having hacked the system. Okay so you may argue that that list is in no way complete and comprehensive etc., etc., but it does lay down the typical things. Besides fuck up everyone's title, what use would I have for all said gil? =S

However, none of you heard me just say that, because it's being looked into and I'm not gonna piss 'em off. ^_^

so you would have had to have the Month 0 total based on 150% interest to get to the Month 9 figure.

and Muffin it is a fair society, if it wasn't then the admins wouldn't be looking into it to see if it was a glitch and say they would reinstate your account if this was the case, and please gratuetus swearing for the sake of it, there are inocent ears and eyes on this forum, please minimise it.

Meh fine then, aplogies Jarre. =/ However, and some of you may not yet believe it, I know I am innocent, and getting banned for something that truly isn't my fault has upset me for some reason that I must just fail to see. And the math just went and ruined it ya know. --_-- Yes alright, so we all knew I couldn't get 538+ million in nine months or so without a vastly substantial amount to begin with; the point I made at the time was that something may have happened as opposed to the auto-assumption I'd hacked FFXIO. ¬_¬

The irony is, you've probably now made more posts with your new account than you did with your old. So why not just ask someone nicely to change your name to the style you want and then drop the subject.

It seems that the matter is unlikely to be solved soon because if you are innocent (I'm not saying you are or not) PiNG will have to look into what caused you to get that amount of gil. A process which could take a while given the amount of usage this site gets and your last activity being 9 months ago. If a problem is found, that will take priority over your account restoration.

You seem like a nice person and this is obviously upsetting you. In your past few posts in this thread you have started swearing which doesn't help your cause, so dropping the subject would probably be best for you and the moderators. Don't let your reputation suffer for what may (or may not) of been an accident.

H'm... Fair point... But nah, I've got like... Errrm... Sixteen posts on this account I believe, and by the time of closure I think ma previous one was about 50. Okay, yeah the swearing's really dampening my cause, but meh... Fine, subject dropped. Lock the post, I don't care, and just PM me when someone's sorted out what's happening please. Well seein as it's still open I just wanna say he doesn't seem like a hacker to me. There was no real motive involved and someone who was just hacking for the 'fun' of it would just do it again if they got banned. It seems to me it was a glitch in the system, iirc this has happened before but instead of tossing the gil 'in the steets', the people would ask mods 'wtf?'.

Just an opinion from an unbiased observer.
