Quite possibly true for the Kujata server forums(I wouldn't know); but they weren't created for the purpose of off-topic discussion. There is a reason there is an off-topic forum and a Kujata server forum.

If you want to post something off-topic; do it there(I'm guessing "boobs, discuss" wouldn't even fly there after Balfree's posts.). It's just not all that hard, and it really shouldn't be all that big of a deal.

We are not saying you can't discuss anything on the Kajuta forums, we are saying keep the discussions to game (and server) related topics. If it's off-topic (not game and server related) put it in the Off-Topic forum.

No it's not. Maybe where you come from, but not here. If you feel more comfortable back where you were, then feel free to return. We are not forcing you to stay here (nor, for that matter, did we actively try to recruit you away, that was Feba's doing).

For those of you who would stay, please respect our forum rules. It's not too much to ask for. After all, would you start letting your dog shit on your neighbor's lawn simply because to do that at your own home?

Auto-prunning would get rid of threads that we might want to keep, atleast from my knowledge.

It's not like everyone is forced to like it here, it's your choice if you want to stay or leave, to those who leave, farewell, hopefully you can fit in somewhere else, best wishes.

Part of what made Alla a community was the ability to just post random funny stuff.
You have created here an internment camp, akin to the death camps in WWII. It's a pretty internment camp, but we're forced to sit and be repressed if we want to be here nonetheless.

Internment Camps, or Concentration Camps, didnt allow you to freely leave on your own accord, they simply shot you if you crossed the line instead of warning you, they didnt ask you your personal details and you were forced to go there wether you liked it or not.

FFxionline.com, allows you to leave whenever you want, we have rules and you get warned if you cross the line (those rules are very well explained upon submitting your registration), we ask you for details because we value you as an individual, and no one forces you to come here.

So, are we nazis, or are you hoping upong a little internet argument? You dont like rules, im sorry to say you arent welcome then. FFXionline has been around for a long time, and we never needed spammy threads to keep us alive, we value quality over quantity.

And im done with this pointless argument.

Suggestion: Since I and a few others use the "New Posts" on the very top to check for new relevant posts, how about we set up user profile filters on those? For example, I really don't care what's going on on other servers, how about a filter to remove other servers from showing up on the "New Posts" area? Also, removing irrelevant things such as i.e. .dat files and modifications? In case I'm not in the mood to look at other people's art. I know that can be a simple search function however when your looking through a bunch of these posts at once it can be a pain.

Everyone is allowed to post here if you follow the rules. You will not be discriminated against if you come from Alla.

If you don't like the rules, don't make an ass out of yourself by posting some bullshit post where you're trying to come off as a hard-ass, just because you don't like the rules.

You can't do that shit IRL. You move from one town, to another town. And the Speed limit is 20 miles an hour slower going through that town. If you go the same speed you did in your old town, you'll get a ticket. And the cop will only laugh if you say, "Sorry, but I could go XX MPH in my old town."

Basically, what some of the "zam.com refugees" are doing is biting the hand that feeds them. We've tried to make you guys feel welcome, some are very nice, helpful people. Others are the stereotypical jackasses that many of us have come to expect coming from Alla.

Please, if you guys are coming from Allakhazam, respect our rules. If you don't you'll be forced to leave.

There's enough to make sure threads like this one are moved into the right place.

And I don't believe being a mod would make a person any more self-important. Why do I think that? Because they have to take the shit for everything. One closes a thread, he's a Nazi. Another one says something (which is usually true), and he's an elitist prick. The mods have to deal with bullshit everytime they sign in. So I don't think they feel that self important, because they don't have the time to feel high and mighty.

Look guys, we're here to share information, talk about something we love, and have a good time.

Our site is, quite obviously, different from alla. We have different rules here and we actually enforce them as fairly as we can. Our server forums are not alla's server forums. They were put there for a different purpose and we want them to continue doing what they do, much as you might disagree with that.

Coming in here and criticising the way we do things right off the bat, and expecting us to rend our own traditions in favor of yours is not a good way to ingratiate yourself to the community. I will be happy never to see Fidant or any of his clothes in here again. If you're the type that would hang around only to bring grief to the other users of this forum until you get banned just because you disagree with some part of its organization then you were never wanted here in the first place.

That said, we are happy to accomodate people who are willing to play by the rules, especially if they're capable of making an intelligent arguement to support their requests. Many thanks to Linliel for her(?) calm and thorough explanation of her position in the middle of page 2 and for keeping a civil tone even when it seemed like the establishment was attacking her. It was that post that prompted me to ask PiNG for server lounges when the opportunity arose, so pat yourself on the back. Those are thanks to you.

You know, folks. This doesn't need to be nearly as dramatic as some of you are making it out to be. The mods here are just trying to maintain some order in a forum that they have been a part of for years. There is no need to call them nazis (for the love of Godwin), or to post dramatic diatribes about how you feel like you're posting in a police state or something. The mods here have been really friendly and accomodating to everyone that came over from Alla provided those individuals understand and abide by the rules of the forum.

I think it's pretty inconsiderate and immature of you to behave as though they are somehow limiting your personal freedom to post everywhere else on the internet when you don't want to talk about FFXI stuff and you don't want to use the specially designated forum here for that purpose because somehow playing a word association game with folks from another server cheapens your forum game somehow.*

I certainly hope that you will all try and get a little bit of perspective here and realize that no one is out to get you, and no one is trying to act as the Thought Police. People are just trying to keep a little bit of order and organization amongst all of the chaos that occurs when several hundred people decend on a previously quiet forum.

*And believe me, it's hard to make silly forum games any cheaper, so I don't really get what the big deal is.
