Hahaha, I thought this was kind of funny. I was just going through various artists' websites.



This isn't the first time I've seen the quote "The only good American is a dead one" quote
from a Japanese comic book character.

I thought you guys might get a laugh or two out of it.

I think the term "Jap" is offensive to Japanese ppl, or so I was told by a Jp buddy in game and alot of english speakers say it alot even if not to mean it, if they dont know what your saying an just see "Jap" they may take offence alot. Still comical tho lol.

There is good and bad with everyone.
There are NAs that think this about JPs and JPs that think this about NAs.

Not much you can do about it but not prove them right.

Pretty much, yes.

Calling a Japanese person a "Jap" is exactly the same thing as calling a (Insert Minority Here) a low down, no good, rotten (Insert Racial Slur Here).

We Americans have a stereotypical view of Japanese people-- You can probably think of what they are.

It's no different with Japanese people. They see us as loud-mouthed, racist, offensive, but more than anything, they see us as Stupid, and think we have an idiotic society structure-- Which, personally, I think is awfully hypocritical because if you look at Japan today, you might as well call it "America 2", because of how "Westernized" it is... Atleast that's what I think.

But oh well-- What're you going to do? That's just the way of the world... Hahahaha

Which, personally, I think is awfully hypocritical because if you look at Japan today, you might as well call it "America 2", because of how "Westernized" it is...

That would be why many cultures dont like the USA. There is fine line between adopting others ideas and losing ones heritage.

Interesting, a theoretically Japanese person makes a comic that basically says America sucks, everyone thinks its funny. I'm curious as to how many of the same people would shit bricks if someone posted a comic saying how much Japan sucked. Personally, I dont care if thats what the original artist thinks. People are free to think what they want, even if its racist. I personally think racism is wrong, but you still have the right to feel that way. What I think is most interesting is the hypocrasy. (Note: I'm not saying this about any of the above posters, just that noone has come in here yet and gone off about how terrible it is and I have a gut feeling if the situations were reversed people would have put up a thousand posts already saying how racist it is and they can't believe it, etc.)

Oh, I too think its funny (assuming I get it w/o having to read Japanese). I have no problem laughing at jokes at my expense or about my race, I think overall people are too uptight and put too much stock in other people's opinions of themselves, even when they know the racist person is extremely ignorant and all around stupid.

I think the term "jap" came from world war 2 where americans refered to japanese as such, and is soorta reminded of it by saying that.

I'm not sure if thats exactly correct but probably close, and I'm also partly japanese XD

I think I am the only Japanese person that didn't get a 100 in every single math test and didn't get a perfect 800 in the SAT math portion.

Right now, a good most of the world hates America. I would advise, if you're traveling out of the country, try not to look American. Actually, a lot of the world thought of us like that BEFORE the War on Iraq. Think how bad it must be now.

And it isn't without reason either. America uses about 70% of the worlds oil consumption. 'American pigs' actually isn't too far off. If you want proof, go around and look at everything that's plastic in your home. Count how many items in your house actually have plastic in it. Then think of how much plastic is in everything else you use.




Plastic is impossible to make without oil.
