  • Who's familiar with using IRC Clients?

I'm currently setting up a IRC server for ffxionline.com, accessable through:

    /server irc.ffxionline.com

still setting it up, but i thought it'd be cool to have a private IRC chat server for people. No details will be posted yet, since i'm just testing the server configurations.

Use something like, mIRC, than when you open the program, in the Status bar at the bottom, type:

    /server irc.ffxionline.com

    /j #ffxionline.com
---- will bring you to a chanel i'm in.

You can see list of channels with:
    /list

There's no way we could get it on Gamesurge or another commonly used server?

i wanted to manage all the channels and use it exclusivly for ffxionline.com and it'd only list channels that have to do with this site, also keeping everyone's name to whatever they want without conflicting with outside people.

Easier to just use a link: irc://ffxionline.com/ffxionline.com ^^

you need an irc client or you need for it to be linked to open when you click an irc:// url.

                  Ok, Done!
You can just simply click on the "Chat Room" link at the very Top in RED.

For people who would like to manually connect using any other IRC Client:
                  Server: irc.ffxionline.com
                  Port: 6667

All channels on the server is FFXIOnline exclusive, so you can do: /list
to get all the available channels
