Meh, your loss. I'm enjoying the satire of it all. The world of Pokemon is a really fucked up place and it does a good job of highlighting how utterly absurd so many things in that world are.

I keep running across that comic and every time I become baffled by its non-linear structure. There's no clear "start here" location as far as I can tell and I don't want to read it out of order so I just keep putting it off.

      Re: Online comics

The archives page has it laid out in a pretty understandable fashion. There are two linear stories, one complete and one in progress, down the right side and the ones along the left are one-shots. He only updates about every three months, but if you sign up for the newsletter you don't have to keep dropping by the site to check and being disappointed.

Not really. It's not a lengthy archive, but it's a good read.

If you're looking for some reading material I could sift through the huge list I have and dig out some of the better ones. Just let me know what sort of comic you're looking for.

I read questionable content, penny arcade, vg cats and order of the stick... as well as dresden codak right now. I'm into intelligent cartoony with references to video games and geek nostalgia.

Prime Example: Dresden Codak » Archive » Dungeons And Discourse

Hmmm, that's harder to pin down that I thought it'd be.

                Try some of these:
Darths & Droids - if you've ever done any tabletop RPGs or are at all familiar with them, pretty hilarious. It's sort of a look at what it would be like if the Star Wars universe were a D20 campaign. Good stuff.

Girl Genius Online Comics! - MAD SCIENCE! Girl Genius is pretty fantastic. It starts a little slow, but once it gets going it is damn near impossible to put down. Definitely one of the best comics out there.

Shortpacked! by David Willis - Just a Toy Store - Transformer geek works in toy story, Batman humor ensues.

There's surprisingly few good comics in my list that involve video game references. I blame market over-saturation. You're hard to shop for Yyg.

In the days since I last posted here, I've found a wealth of comics that I feel I should share with the community.

                  Aikonia

                  Dinosaur Comics

                  Gunshow

                  Nedroid Picture Diary

OVERCOMPENSATING: The Journal Comic With a Seething Disdain for Reality.

                  Pictures For Sad Children

                  The Nerds of Paradise

                  and my current reading:

I do like Genius Girl. I read the entire archive. Kudos to that choice.

Darths and Droids got tiresome quickly... in the same way that the LOTR version of that same style webcomic did. I can't remember the name of the LOTR one though. That's going to bug me.

For anyone trying to find comics, I recommend keeping an eye on this page:
The Webcomic Overlook | Webcomic reviews are serious business.

He covers a wide range of stuff and updates pretty regularly. It's not a comprehensive list of everything out there worth reading, but it's a good resource to keep tabs on.

                      Re: Online comics

I am adding Power Nap to the list of comics you people should check out. The art is spectacular and vibrant.

The basic premise is that it's the future and people don't really sleep now because of crazy drugs that keep everyone hopped up for those 16 hour work days. Our hero is a guy who can't take said drugs and has problems because of it. Sleep deprivation, nightmares and some sci-fi conspiracy stuff. The comic doesn't play it straight so it's still pretty light-hearted and fun. The archive isn't too big now, so you can knock it out fairly quickly if you're so inclined.

Definitely one to keep an eye on.

I find all the terrible comics too, you just don't hear about them. I've been going through my backlog these past few weeks while waiting for stuff to install/being bored at work. I've also been looking through some new stuff.

One of these days I'll just dump my entire list on here and you'll all wonder what the hell is wrong with me. So many comics...

Loading Artist - A webcomic by Gregor Czaykowski

This comic spells out the artist's sense of humor pretty well:

                              Misfire | Loading Artist

Unfortunately... he posts comics about as often as VG Cats... which is to say... nearly never.

                              Also this one:
                              I AM ARG! -

                              Great Example:
