Anyone see "Tears of the Sun"? Saw it friday it was pretty bad ass. Got lot's of emotion and action in it. IF you liked Black Hawk Down you'll love this movie. Although you can't really compare them other then there both in the military. I mean one was with Army Rangers and Delta Force , in Somalia. This was Navy Seals in Nigiria. Good movie though!!

        *late reply*

The movie is very serious, although there are some parts that are arguably not very realistic...but that's what makes the movie cool IMO.

        It's basically this:

Eight Navy Seals(including Bruce Willis) VS five thousand bad guys.

Personally I thought Tears of the Sun was grossly overdone. It's got nothing on Black Hawk Down (what an excellent movie that was).

          2.5 Stars out of 5.

            Was it very violent/gory?

I'm glad most of you seemed to like it. I was planning on seeing it...

It's violent , but not overly. Its not to gorey but enough to give the emotion of the moment.

Well, I saw it last night. It was good, I mean, I'm glad I saw it. But it was pretty sad. I cried though the worst parts. The doctor was so cool! She's my hero!

Yeah, I'm glad I saw it.

Yeah, it was sad. Very emotional movie, but yet bad @ss at the same time. It was very realistic, it was 8 marines vs. 5000 guys, but that is when the marines got hurt badly. Before that it was just little missions. SO it was realistic in my opinion. Still Black Hawk Down and Saving Private Ryan will never be beat.

It didn't do that in the slightest.... Are you sure you watched the movie? (And I'm a Canadian, so I don't want to hear "You've been brainwashed", etc).
