              On Athiesm : Is simply Denying the existance of God.

              There is no need to add anything else to that, because, theres nothing more to say.

              On the Movie: I saw it, and it was absolutely mortifying. To give you an idea, 90% of people were crying, and the other 10% were an a terrified shock. It is, powerful, and I cant say I reccomend that anyone see it because its not a movie that I enjoyed or came out of thinking "wow that was a good movie!"

              The infamous "whipping" scene starts out as a pretty stock standard punishment. Id like to describe it as I saw it, perhaps so that other people who have seen it can contrast it to me own perception. Wooden sticks against the back, you think "ouch" but its not really that bad.

              THEN, they bring out this extremely bad ass whip which can only be described as a regular cat-o-nine tails, with flat, jagged hooks on the end of each piece of rope. They do a test whip on the bench, and when it brings up a treeload of wood you start thinking to yourself "Holy F***".

              The whipping, went for a long amount of time, and with each whip you could see flesh being torn and blood flying everywhere. One whip, which is probably the peak of the whipping is where one the hooks get jammed into Jesus's side, and they yank it out and bring up ALOT of flesh "which evidently flies into the camera". (everyone cringed in this moment, I can tell you)

              After theyve completely massacred his back "and I MEAN massacred" they turn him over so that hes facing the sky. I remember saying "im glad thats over!". But then they start working the front! You can feel your skin crawl with every whip striking his body.

              The final image is gruesome, you see Jesus mutilated more than ive EVER seen ANYONE in any movie (or at rotten.com, might I add). I mean, death is candy apples compared to what they did to him. Even more enraging is the fact that the guards seem to think its funny. I cant describe it, you really have to see it for yourself.

              Perhaps ive gone into too much detail, and I wont describe anything else. (You cant really "spoil" this movie because im sure almost everyone knows the story of Jesus").

              Ive seen ALOT of "horror" movies, and this Movie puts them all in the dust. Its not "scary", just horrifying, absolutely horrifying. "Not so bad, over-rated", well thats your opinion, but id like to know of a scene in a movie more dreadful than that.

              All in all, watch it, by all means. But know what your getting yourself into, im pretty sure this movie has messed up ALOT of people big time.

                My hands were shaking after reading that. I dont know what to say. I dont think there is anything worse than this movie, as far a pain. It did show a lot, and I'd have to say it did affect everyone watching it, in some sort of way.

                    What if Jesus was Black...not saying it in a bad way just saying..So, if we got one thing wrong then everything else we have thought about Jesus could be wrong?

                      No, the color of someone's skin doesnt change anything they did. But no one knows everything. Even when you have one thing wrong doesnt mean you have everything else wrong.

                            I thought it was a well done cinematic movie portraying a story. That is, however, as far as it went for me. Just a story. I could even compare it to other movies with no relation to religion at all.

                            The gaurds didn't necessarily think it was humerous, but as the story goes, they couldn't bring themselves to do what they did in a sober mind. Basically, they were sloshed off thier ass.

                            Also, Wakes first post beat me (really really beat me) to what I was going to get into.

                            Here, I'll post what I often respond to people when they have my views on theology:

                            "God didn't create man. Man created god."

                            Thats basically what I beleive. I'm a man of sceince and facts. It comes with the engineer in me. I need undoubtable proof before dedicating my -LIFE- to something. However, I'm not going to push my views on anyone and try to convert them to my way of thinking. I wont do this because you wont do the same to me. If you do, you're going to get an hour long lecture on all the historical inaccuracies and theories of what may, or may have not been.

                            You do what works for you and makes you most happy. I'll do the same and we'll have good times.
