Are all the power connections in properly? The 20+4 and 2x2/2x4 CPU connectors. Try plugging them and connecting them again.

If that doesn't work, unplug everything unnecessary from the motherboard, try booting up with only the motherboard, CPU and CPU cooler connected.

If that starts up then start plugging things back in one at a time, memory, video card, hard drive, optical drive.

I have no idea if everything is connected properly, I just went through the guide book that came with the motherboard.

Double-check all your connections would be the first thing to do(in the motherboard I mean). If that doesn't work then you have to begin the long and tedious process of swapping out each component with one that you know for sure works. I don't know what else to tell you without more info.

Try swapping out the power supply. You might just have a bad one.

Nothing appears on the screen, nothing beeps, and nothing spins. I'm not sure what else to do other than take the thing apart and attempt to put it back together.

I know how you feel, I had a similar thing recently, my new PC started refusing to boot, it took me a few days to get it back running again.

Do you get anything on screen at all? BIOS POST test?

Do you have a system speaker installed? Any beeps?

Are fans on your case / cpu cooler / psu spinning?

Wow there could be so many different issues, it really is hard to trouble shoot on what you've said. Any beeping? Fans running? Lights on mb? etc. My advice would be to find an online guide and follow that. Take everything apart and follow the guide, thats what I would do. It could be that the mb is grounded, something isn't seated properly, bad part, etc. Its super hard to say.

I have no idea what this means. Is this indicative of a large or small problem? I don't know what else I can do but uplug stuff and plug it into other places.

First try resetting everything, take it out, and plug it all back in (everything even the CPU and RAM)

if it still does it, you should start taking things out one at a time till it boots. (start with the RAM, and work your way to the video card)

taking out both RAM sticks should make the motherboard beep at you, if it does, thats a good sign, it means the system recognizes that you have no RAM in the system.
