file extensions
Greetings,
I'm not sure what I did to cause this (if I indeed did anything at all), but now files on my comptuer list the extensions when they didnt use to. For example, if I have an mp3 on my desktop instead of just saying "Enter Sandman" it now displays as "Enter Sandman.mp3". This is most annoying with graphic files, as I cannot simply rename "Picture" to what I want (as I used to be able to do) but now have to be sure not to get rid of the file type, or I get an error. Meaning instead of "Picture" becoming say "Cat" I have to rename it "Cat.jpg". I use winXP and am rather comptuer savvy guy. I think I might have even come across this before, but just cant think of what I did. How can I change this back? Any help is apprecaited, thank you.
