I checked the "sticky" about graphics cards and the link in the op no longer works. I have a terrible card atm. It was stock in my comp when I bought it. When I terrible, I mean terrible. The IT guy at SE was shocked that game ran well with that card. Anyway, I don't really need some $350+ card thats gonna change my perception of time and space. I just want it to look somewhere close to the 360 version. Thanks for the help.

Re: Affordable Graphics Card
There are GeForce 8500 and 8600 series cards that are under $150 GeForce 7 cards can be found for under $100 now. In short, define affordable.
I can't really recommend one, last I had was an ATI X1600 which worked great with FFXI, but in about 2 weeks I'm ordering a GeForce 8600GT, so we'll see how that goes.

Re: Affordable Graphics Card
I'm guessing your card is an MX440?
You might try looking at a computer shop's clearance/used bin. I was able to pick up a 6200 LE for about 30$, which is a pretty good price.
There's only three or four GPUs out right now that would cost you more than 350$, so you don't need to worry about that.
You could go with one of the low end GeForce cards like Mhurron suggested, but if your card is as old as you speak of it being, it's probably an AGP, and I don't think they've been released as AGP cards (but I haven't really checked)

Re: Affordable Graphics Card
what is your price range and how much head-room do you want with it?
for decent, get the job done for the cheap, you have:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102410
if you want a bit more "hey i can bench 180" power, you have:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814127219
going further (and i think is the current sweet spot of price/performance) is:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102071 <- this sucker will let you run any current game out there (and most future games) beautifully
Thanks Yyg!
