ok look i got the network adaptor and ether net wire i put the the netwerk in the ps2 then connected the ether net to it then i put the other end of the wire in the modem and on the pc it says network problem but then i go to pay online in need for speed and it says network problem 610 any advise on wats wrong

Umm...this is in the wrong section of forums but short answer would be: Modem ethernet into router, make sure it's the right port, might be labeled "internet" and is usually seperated from the resto fthe ports. Then take ethernet cable and plug it in any of the other ports on modem, they're usually numbered and plug that into your PS2's ethernet port. Your router should come with instruction booklet with pictures and the like and usually a disc that walks you through everything so check that out too if that doesn't work.
Edit: Error 610 not sure what that is but your router might have a firewall up or even windows firewall might be blocking it so make sure to unblock it.
