  • Help me out!! A few questions...

Ok I play FF11 on my computer, and its ok. My brother and my friend play it also, my brother on his PS2 and my friend on his PC. It runs better on the PS2, but looks kinda shitty compared to the PC version. On my friends computer, it runs like the PS2 and looks good. When I go into battle mode it kinda slows down a bit at certain points, and lags and jumps around.

My computer has 2.80 ghz Intel Celeron Procesor, 512 ddr ram, and my graphix card is a ATI RADEON 9200 128MB DDR PCI Graphics Card.

I want my PC to run FF as good as my friends, I was looking at new video cards and I seen these 2 that look right, but I need to know, witch one is better.

ATI RADEON 9250 256MB DDR PCI Graphics Card
    ATI RADEON X700 PRO 256MB GDDR3 PCI-Express Graphics Card

I think the 2nd one, but Im not sure what PCI Express is, I do not have a AGP slot on my computer, do I have what it takes for this PCI Express? aslo, should I get more ram also?

Ok, thanx for your time, I hope someone can tell me what I need to know..

Before you go out and waste a bunch of money on a video card, When does this lag happen? At what times during the battle?

try this.... dont run in anoything over 1024x768 and 1024x1024 leave those at that and with that PC setup you should not lag...if you still do then you have other programs bogging down your ram usage close those or get more ram

ok just so you know about video cards you listed. PCI Express is very new and i can guarantee you cant run it. double your ram will make a huge difference. i cant believe you dont have an agp slot in that pc. also celeron is holding you back as well. i found a couple of bargain pcs www.outpost.com amd athlon but had nforce 2 motherboard with agp slot for under $200 add ram to ut and radeon 9700pro or 9800 pro and youll be rockin. if not a new pc get motherbaird and cpu combo and use ram and drives from current pc.
