  • Which is better? radeon 9600se or ti4200?

Im confused. I need to buy a new graphics card for FFXI and this is the best i can do with the amount of money i have. so which is better? also the ti4200 64mb seems to be better on benchmarks than the ti 4200 128mb. Im leaning towards the radeon 9600,but...squaresoft seems to "recomend" the nvidia cards. do u think that means nvidia would be better suited for FFXI? ppl tell me se versions of radeon cards suck. im really confused O.O can sumone help me decide?

9600 will play FFXI really good. But the 9600SE is a different story,

Is it possible to tell us how much you have to spend?

I have 130 bucks to spend on sum more ram and a new graphics card. Ive decided to get 9600se cause ti4200 all seems to be refurbished on newegg.com. other sites i dont trust as much. so i guess its the radeon 9600

Most 64mb GF4 Ti4200's come with faster memory. Most of the 128mb versions are slower.

I'd definetally go with tha pimp ass radeon, I had a G-Force 4 MX, and then god made something call "Radeon" It greatly improved the graphics in the game, I never knew I had shadows yo!
