If I do, what shoudl I upgrade on my laptop to have FFXI run faster>

I'm really getting sick of this, FFXI has been running slow for awhile, I formatted, still the same, so I'm thinking I need to upgrade something on my laptop, I also have a SC of my stats from the System Information download on playonline.com

If you can, can you also give me the price of the thing(s) I need to buy

It is an intagrated video card, unless it can do openGL by defult then you will not be able to play.

Edit: After re-reading the post it seems that you can already play FFXI with this current system. Also I see that it is an ATI card that you are using, again sorry .

Ok after reading the specs closer it would see that you need more RAM, I am guessing it is 256DDR card that is being shared witht he video card. So you should get a stick of 512DDR and add it to what you currently have.

My RAM slot doesn't look like that, I wish I could get a Screen shot of it, but my digital camera CD won't install on this 98 ><, but this is a similar Screen shot of what my RAM looks like

Well, updated my RAM, but here is a problem I found out, mabey this can help

I have a NES Emulator, and I never noticed, but I do have a FPS at the bottom, at normal, it's around 60.2, and all of a sudden, drops to 30.1, I did this AFTER I upgraded my RAM, I did change a few things around, and gonna try again to see what happens

Well... I still seem to run slow, I doubt it, but this happened not too long after FFXI was out for the PS2, so mabey that could be the reason why I lag?

check your ingame connection and if it acts up a lot, might be serverside lag.... these days POL needs stronger servers to handle the players... and faster connections too...

yeah, true, since when i was on FFXI on my school's connection I didn't slow down too much, I also noticed that my ping has changed, before this happened my S was arould 150, but now it drops down to 90 or so, mabey a better connection has something to do with it, untill then, I'm on the PS2 version
