  • How to change from intergrated to AGP?

Ok i got this new Radeon 9600xt card. I know I have to uninstall all the old drivers from my intergrated card. But do I also have to disable it in the device manager? If I do then should the steps go like this?

    /Uninstall all old drivers
/Disable intergrated graphis card in device manager
    /turn off PC
/Open PC and install new AGP card
/Close PC and connect monitor to new card
    /Boot up and install software

If thats the right order someone tell me. And if its not tell me what I should do first. Thanks.

look in your bios. There should be an option to disable Integrated graphics and use the AGP slot instead. You should not have to mess around with the device manager afaik. Just like disabling onboard sound

just remeber to reduce memory to integrated graphics to zero after disableing it, else it will waste quite a bit of ram...
