Help me out with computer hardware.

[Kyuss]

Ok i posted this along time ago , but never got closure.

Anyways lets just say my computer cant run ff11 right now because it cant. I basically need more hardrive space im guessing for the memory to hold it issue. I was planning on getting a raedon 9600 pro. Also windows xp and what would be a good processor i was going to get pentium 4.

So if you can suggest what i could get that would work well under 500$ i would appreciate it very much.

Just work with FFXI? Do you plan to build yourself? Have you ever built before?

Think that's it...That'll run FFXI pretty well as well as some of the newer stuff. I know you want to save money but trust me. If you built this computer you would save money because you wouldn't have to replace it next year.

Oh...The Grand total was about $560. Not bad I'd say.

For one i dont need a new case or cd drive lol. thanks though

[Devryn]

That makes the total about 450. Just remember not to throw the old stuff away. You can always make a WAP or something. Nothing is useless. Experiment with overclocking...Any number of things.

This summer I plan on turning my Athlon 1700 and motherboard into an onboard computer for my S10. I'll mount it behind the armrest..The drive's will be at the top and be mounted in clear plastic, probably put some neon tubes in there and a nice fan in the front. Maybe get some etching done in the plastic. I'll use a slot DVD drive and connect to a monitor in the headrest VIA an S-Video cable. Sound will be routed to the speakers via a USB radio frequency device. I'll dissassemble a trackball and mount it to the plate that holds the 4WD switch for 4wd trucks. It'll be sweet.

I literally built a new PC on Newegg.com a few days ago, final cost: $528 w/o tax. This is a really good site, and just because parts are OEM don't be afraid to buy, Newegg has a really good reputation of replacing parts if they don't work! Good luck with your new PC parts.

WOW

I WAS SEARCHING STAPLES AND THAT 9800 IS CHEAPER THAN THE 9600 non pro!!!!
