Does anti aliasing and antiscropic filtering work in ffxi

Does anti aliasing and antiscropic filtering work in ffxi when you force it with your geforce or radeon cards or is it software controlled and it doesnt even matter if you turn it on or not it will just stay at what the game controls it at. Also when you change the backround resolution by editing it to 2040x2040 and keep the make game resolution at 1024x768 can you still see the text and messaging or does the backround resolution just affect backround immages and not the text size. Thank you!

As I said before,

Yes, AA and AF should work. (I cant see any reason why it wouldnt)

I dont know about the text sizing
