gfx question

Ok i was looking at getting a 9700pro, but they are a little out of my price range.. so i'm looking at a 9600pro now. I was wondering would the drop in performance from a 9700pro to a 9600pro be really noticable in FFXI? I would like to run it in 1280x720/1024x1024 if i can.. if i have to i can drop the 1024x1024 to 512x512 for the 9600pro, but if the performance drop is too much tell me so i can get the 9700pro... that just means saving more $$$.

my specs are:
P4 2.6ghz
512mb ram
Geforce 2 MX 400 32mb PCI (need a better video card bad)

how much money do u have now? i would recommend the 9700 but if your low on money i guess the 9600 would run it fine.

You should have zero problems running FF at 1280x1024 on a 9600 Pro. I have a 9700 pro and run the game at 1600x1200 with 4X antialiasing and 4X anistropic filtering and it's smooth as glass.
