  • 3rd Party Screenshot program.

I've noticed that the screenshot shown mostly in these forums, including the ones in Shadow-Dragons are for the most part better than what the PlayOnline Viewer takes.

I was wondering, what 3rd party screenshot program do you guys use?

    Thank you.

I use Clipper. Works nicely for me.

Credit goes to Apple Pie for his wonderful formulas, and Ninja Kitten for the lower-level enspell formula.

<looks up from a piece of paper with various colored squiggles across it, a crayon in her hand and two more behind one of her ears. She smiles at you with streaks in various colors across her cheeks>

      Uhm hi.

Nyanya always just uses Paint Shop Pro for taking screen pictures. (Well, Nyanya used PSP6, not PSP8.)

      Made some nice pictures too.

      Ok, hope that helped.

<sticks the crayon behind her free ear and picks up another on, using it on the piece of paper with utmost concentration, biting her tongue as she works>

I am running Windows 2000 Professional. I tried using Clipper, but neither PrintScreen nor Alt-Printscreen worked for me.

However, the freeware program MWSnap does work on my machine. Yay!

You can set the capture key combination to be any combination of control, alt, shift, and A-Z, 0-9, F1-F12. I set mine to be Shift-2, and that works for me. There's the tiniest bit of of a pause when it captures a picture, but it doesn't affect gameplay and it makes me happy to hear it write to the hard drive and know I got the screenshot

Interestingly, the screencaps ended up being 800x600. I have the "Overlay Graphics Resolution" set to 800x600 and the "Background Resolution" set to 1024x1024, so whatever crazy thing it's doing with the rendering, the end result seems to be the overlay resolution.

              Hope this helps someone
